    Getting ready for DF

Sounds like you have got a pretty good thing going if you have Dana working on your car! It is amazing how much of a difference a tasteful paint job does to rims. I am not the biggest fan of "blacked out" themes as it takes out some of the contrast on darker cars but your Vette really suites...

    MB E500 Estate - MPD

Thanks! I tried again with a polishing pad and XMT360 and the marks wouldn't budge. I would be willing to bet that those stains are from acidic cleaners since the stains look like 'runs' and a lot of the wheel looks cloudy and white. Thanks for the comment Matt! The wheels are the only...

    Anyone new Menzerna Sealant yet?

Many people are saying that it is even slicker than other top sealants like Blackfire Wet Diamond and even WG DGPS. The only thing left on the table for now is durability, but I wouldn't be surprised if this was impressive as well.

    MB E500 Estate - MPD

Now, for the afters: German Engineering: All in all, it was a rewarding detail and I was especially happy with the way the interior finished. The wheels had some heavy staining that I could not remove for the life of me (clay...

    MB E500 Estate - MPD

Today, I detailed a very nice Mercedes E500 both inside and out. It belongs to a very successful interior designer/decorator who uses the car every day to travel around. The car seemed to be fairly well cared for but as soon as I started tackling the exterior, it was clear that the car was...

    Products I just picked up

You will love the CCS flat constant pressure pads. They are so smooth and last a very long time, but my favorite part is the beveled edge which makes for much smoother transitions and movement around curvy body panels.

Just a question regarding cleaner waxes and glazes

Yes, it will lock in the oils and filler agents that were applied via the glaze.

Correction on a Classic Saab 900

I agree completely. While I like my car a lot, it is somewhat of a ####### child. The classic 900s have so much character and presence which is why I am going to be getting a 1988-1991 SPG by next year. Exactly, spreading the wealth never felt so good! It is always great when people realize...

Correction on a Classic Saab 900

These are the money shots, and show what kind of drastic improvement we achieve. The 50/50 is down the center of the hood, right side done but not the left. Left side: Right side: Left side: Right side: This is what makes you smile: Left side is now done: The passenger's...

Correction on a Classic Saab 900

50/50: After: A 50/50 of the owner's DA work: some deeper swirls remain but the intent was never to achieve full correction, the left is done. Notice the increase in clarity- The rear driver's side quarter panel had some very deep scratches that will need to be addressed at a later...

Correction on a Classic Saab 900

Correction on a Saab C900 convertible: Another beautiful day in Socal, I had a fellow Saab owner ask about a tuition detail so I planned for him to come over so that I can show him the ins and outs of polishing with a DA. This was meant to be a one step polishing session with the intent...

    Wheel cleaners and sealants?

I personally have not used a dedicated wheel cleaner in a long time because there is rarely anything some car wash and agitation won't fix. If you are asking about your 'Vette, the wheels will be well protected so you would never have to worry about bonded brake dust and the like so I personally...

    Review: DP Waterless Autowash

I do the same with ONR or DP Rinseless W+G, whatever I have on hand really. It makes for a great QD for cleaning water spots and bird droppings. I have read about the Free, I just never ordered it since I have enough waterless washes as it is. I can't wait to see what ONR releases, but it will...

    Review: DP Waterless Autowash

It's funny you mention that, I was ready to cheap out and remove it from my cart but I figured I would try it since I have not once seen it mentioned on here. I am sure glad I took the jump! This is more like a QD meets ONR type product, excellent cleaning power while leaving a 'just waxed'...

    Review: DP Waterless Autowash

Thanks for all the great responses everyone! I don't know why I even bother being apprehensive about the DP lineup, everything I have tried has impressed me. I think that Autowash has more cleaning power that Rinseless W+G at QD strength, and leaves a stunning finish. I believe it actually added...

    Review: DP Waterless Autowash

When I ordered a few weeks ago, I was tempted yet again by the BOGOs so I got Collinite 845 since I needed to stock up but saw DP Waterless Autowash and never heard of anyone using it so I figured I would give it a shot. Appearance/Smell: It is blue in color, and has a minty fresh smell...
