I bought one of those a while back. Didn't seem to fit into the lug holes of any wheels I owned very well. Might work better on a truck?

How do you clean around the lug nuts with that? Wouldn't it be easier to use a lug nut brush that can get to the entire area on the sides of the nut? Seems like that tool would leave brake dust behind still.

To me it doesn't seem like it has much wax content in it. The product very much is a sealant in its durability. Not that it matters because the bottom line with the product is it works well and has great results.

But seriously I usually just reply with "Sure, but it will cost you" And then they usually leave me alone.

Adam's deep wheel cleaner is probably the best priced one. Performs well too. For paint decon use you can dilute it 1:1 Don't let any of these type of products dry on the paint.

I regularly drive both. The CC is an tiptronic trans. The GTI is a manual and so is the Pathfinder. Road trips? Give me the auto. Otherwise I prefer the manual. Something about the connection you have with the car when you drive a manual....

I usually come back with a clean towel and knock down the D180 to kill the shine. Just gives it a rich leather look.

Compared to D101 it cleans leather more gently and has much more pleasant scent. It is RTU though, so no diluting it.

Todd, or Dylan, have either of you found a situation that the short neck version was a better fit for a situation compared to the long neck?

I wouldn't say that it has been cared for if you have no protection on the paint.

Last I heard they started watering down their pro line products...

I've used D101 @full strength before. Adam's APC, Blackfire APC, Zep degreaser. Probably a couple others.

The paint I used is pretty freakin tough, but it will turn chalky over time with UV exposure. I'm mostly trying to avoid that and make it easier to clean up and help fend off some of the mag chloride around here. My downpipe runs within about an inch of the center of the subframe/steering rack...

And PRC is closer related to the SOLO cut line for abrasives.

Might be my best bet. Can't apply it until the paint is cured though.... Maybe I'll throw some D305 on it while I wait for the paint to cure so I can get it into the car sometime this year

Look at the location of that bolt. It is right where the riders knee would be on the fairing. It looked damaged before it was corrected.

D151 is actually SMAT abrasives... This thread has a good bit of information: The Aggressiveness Order of SMAT Products - This might surprise you!! Specifically about how aggressive white wax is compared to PRC.

Meguiars D143 Wheel and Tire cleaner is probably the best tire cleaner for the money I have found.
