    DK News

I had a Ford LTD II wagon also. It was a 1977. Bought it used at the height of the gas crisis for $2250.00 and it had 13K miles on it. Gold colored. Dropped a bored 4V Cleveland into it. With a 2 plate nitrous system. The computed horsepower (based on the speed in the 1/4) was 650 at the wheels...

    Upgrading Shop (should I ?)

Sound like more than 3X the space for 2X the rent. Is the new space heated (I know you said heated but make sure)? If it is it seems like it would allow you to get more work accomplished with less difficulty in the colder months. Plus, more space is always nice. Have you considered having a sub...

    Shop-vac hose replacement suggestions

I bought three of the extension hoses and couplers. Never had any problem with them. And I have now been using them for five years. Only had a clog once. it was easy to find since I could uncouple the hoses and push the clog out with a stick. Plus I uncouple them to make them easier to store in...

    Handicapped/injured detailing

After my back surgery it just got more and more difficult to stoop over to work on wheels and the sides of cars. So I bought a four post lift. Now I raise and lower the vehicle as required so that whatever I am working on is directly in front of me while standing straight. Plus it is really easy...

BMW 335 - Glass polishing (CARPRO Glass Polishing Kit) :: Steel wool scratches

Polishing glass is a time consuming, and filthy job. It takes an intensive wash to get all the splatter off of the rest of the car. And you have to be extra careful since the "grit" in the glass polish can scratch or marr the paint. Is it worth all the trouble? You bet it is! Perfect glass is...

    Red light and speeding cameras

The English response can always be tried here in the colonies. They just hang a tire over the camera and light it on fire. Stops the cash grab every time. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nRnlRurTwFg

    2009 Honda VTX 1300

At least your friend realized that a good detailing is more than worth the price and time when it comes time to sell. I am always amazed at the garbage people show me for sale. They could get a lot more moeny and a faster sale if they would only clean and perfect it. Really nice job. :dblthumb2:

How to get off heavy stuck dirt on the wheels?

That is baked on brake dust and it has eaten through the clear and started corroding the aluminum beneath. The wheels will never look like new now. They will require refinishing. Or just toss them and get a perfect condition used set from someone that is going with fancy new wheels.

    Pressure washer vs. Regular sprayer

I use my lower pressure electric washer for the pre-wash, the foaming, and the final rinse with filtered water. By doing so it not only washes off more surface dust at the start. it uses much less water during the final filtered rinse too. My filter medium lasts much longer. Plus, of course...

    Order being shipped by FedEx

I rally like my FedEx driver. He always puts my packages way up on my porch so that walker byes can't see them (and steal them). The damn USPS employees leave them on my bottom step. Where they just scream "STEAL ME" Plus they get rained on there. Bad Postman! No Cookie!

    Iron-X eats it's bottle

Nope. I bought a bottle and a big refill at the same time. Within three months of them being released. No leaks at all. And I have refilled the spray bottle at least five times.
