Employment issues - any and all advice welcome!

How embarrassing. Not that it should matter, but can you say what kind of hours he worked? And does he wear a backpack with a monkey tail leash for the mother?

Detailing police vehicles is it worth it?

Obviously, this probably changes from city to city, but as far as I know, police car care is in the hands of individual officers. My friend is a cop and I often meet up with him to chat at car washes when he doesn't have much going on. Officers in my own community are often spotted at car...

Mobile Detailing, just better for business or a necessity?

I actually just found a company nearby and scheduled a little meet/interview (they were fast to respond to my email). Said they could use a novice/trainee so if I go in and it works out, it should be a wonderful start to a new career. I'm pumped

5th Episode on this Sunday! - What's in Autogeek's Garage

Wow. That Mustang is spectacular. Always loved '60s Mustangs, but Shelby takes them all to a whole 'nother level. Will have to see if I can find the show on my listings and watch or DVR.

Mobile Detailing, just better for business or a necessity?

Okay, so it sounds like it's just a smart business move. Was just curious because I want to get working again. Most the companies out there are either only mobile or seem to highly advertise their mobile services to where I'd think they didn't have a shop if they didn't mention, "visit us at...

Mobile Detailing, just better for business or a necessity?

Question for all professional detailers. What reason do you offer or only provide mobile detailing? Is the cost of operating your business on wheels cheaper than renting/owning a building and therefore it simply makes monetary sense? Customers won't come to your static location? Just a better...

Can we get Abbreviation Chart Please!!!

Using my decoder ring, I got: "Be sure to drink your Ovaltine." It's the only correct answer ('A Christmas Story' reference, for anyone that has no clue what I'm talking about).

Loose change, odds and ends = cheap promotion

Honestly think this is one of the better ideas for continued promotion and referrals I've seen. a) Builds a trust base with clients - you care about their car and their belongings b) As you stated, can be useful storage for them in the future c) It's not an "in your face" promotion, it's...

    My new Site.

Only critique would be that on the main page, you should probably use some more breaks to introduce some white space between your paragraphs. Right now, a lot of the text crams together and you'd rather it read more like a newspaper. I'm not familiar with "Weebly", but things should look more...

Video: How to remove shallow RIDS and how to machine apply both a paint sealant and a finishing wax

Great video really showing it all. Nice to see every little detail and all the setup.

    First time machine polisher, tips?

Package arrived. I must say, AG does a spectacular job with packaging their products (this is my 2nd shipment). Top marks for your handling. One more shipment to go and I'll be ready to do this thing.

Where do you initiate your detail?

Yeah, I start with tires and wheels. I don't want the grime from wheel-wells or the tires themselves kicking up onto the paint if I were to have washed that first. Interior is usually the last thing, but includes window cleaner on both sides.

    First time machine polisher, tips?

Yeah, I feel I've gone through all the videos I can find. I'm at the point of re-watching for added comfortableness. Downside, while I'm waiting for my DA and other products from AG to arrive, I realized I want to put a sealant on prior to the wax. Tried to go out and find a sealant, but no...

    First time machine polisher, tips?

Excellent. That's what I figured, but as I read certain things I started to question myself. Feeling ready to do this. Just need the rest I my supplies.

    First time machine polisher, tips?

Quick question. You often mention "proving your system" on a small section, then duplicating it over the rest of the car. Makes sense. I'm curious though, and I feel like I just missed this somewhere. After you prove the system: do you repeat each of the polish/glaze/wax as you move from...

    Greetings, Car People

Thanks, I appreciate the responses. And this place is just foaming over with information. I keep finding myself planning to check something for a few minutes, then time is gobbled up for 45minutes reading questions/answers and other how-to's. I can't lie on this one. I was diagnosed in 2007...

    First time machine polisher, tips?

Thought I'd share a picture of what I'll have to work on. It's been heavy overcast lately, but when I got out of my car today the sun was shining and really put the swirls into perspective. Thankfully, I'm not able to notice anything nearly as bad anywhere else on the car, but the hood needs...

    Its that time of year

I've been to Florida many a times, but had never noticed them till my last trip. Sept 2010 for my honeymoon, my wife and I were bused from Orlando to Port Canaveral, and the buses were just LOADED with those things. To the point where the drivers didn't even bother cleaning the windows anymore...
