Comparison: Tuf Shine vs Griot's Garage Tire Rejuvenator

I have only used GG Rubber Prep on tires. Rubber Prep is a volatile liquid that flashes/evaporates pretty quickly. But I think I'd be hesitant to use it on plastic trim. I'd rather just use an APC or IPA on trim.

Bristle. (see attachment.) I bought these brushes at the 99 Cent Only store. I used the 2" one for the GG, and 1 1/2" one for Tuf Shine.

Comparison: Tuf Shine vs Griot's Garage Tire Rejuvenator

No problem. I think most 'geeks would naturally think that applying Tuf Shine on bare, clean rubber would give the best result. But sometimes when someone thinks outside the box to try an off-label method or use for a product, they get a result that you might not expect. The only way to...

Comparison: Tuf Shine vs Griot's Garage Tire Rejuvenator

I wouldn't call GG Tire Rejuvenator "just another tire dressing," as I might categorize Armor All. It contains a dye that restores the black color to rubber, and the tire feels very clean after application of the Tire Rejuvenator. It changes the look and feel of the rubber for months, but it...

Comparison: Tuf Shine vs Griot's Garage Tire Rejuvenator

For the past few years, my preferred tire restoration product has been Griot's Garage Tire Rejuvenator. (It used to be sold under the name Weatherproof Tire Dressing.) This product has the consistency of a thick gel. It restores the dark black color to tires with a black dye and leaves a satin...

    Tiny craters in paint?

I have a vehicle that has tiny defects over the paint as well, but whereas the defects in the yellow vehicle above look like craters, the defects on my vehicle look like tiny pinpoint pockmarks. I am also inclined to believe that the pinpoint defects in my vehicle were caused by sand, since it...

Note to self.... Jettas require JackHammer DA Attachment!

Take some comfort in knowing that you're not the only one who finds Jetta paint difficult to correct. I have a 2003 Jetta, and when I first got into detailing, its paint was in bad condition, with layers of baked-on hard water spots after being parked outside unprotected from the hot sun for a...

    Which Leaf Blower for Drying?

Are you guys able to completely dry the car with just the leaf blower, or do you have to towel it dry afterward to get all the spots off? I would like to find something that dries the car so that I don't have to touch it with a drying towel. If you have a leaf blower that can do that, can you...
