My car wash method seems inefficient...

I think the main reason you had difficulty is because these are SUV's and using that method on vehicles this size is just too time consuming. You'll most likely need some kind of step stool to reach the roof, windshield, and using the rinseless wash/folding towels...washing and drying panel by...

    Seat Cleaner

I too am looking for a dedicated leather cleaner that's strong, but safe. APC's and degreasers are just too harsh on old, cracking leather, and they will especially harm perforated leather if it's old. McKees 70/30 so far worked the best for me. The Megs leather cleaner, and CG leather...

    Interior only detail?

I've got 2 mini vans this week. One tomorrow, one Saturday...and I tell you, I'm not looking forward to it. They are by far my least favorite things to do. I don't blame you at all for passing it up, all of those seats, cup holders, compartments, door panels...all filled with melted candy...

Anybody using a detailing tool belt?

I have the Detailers Helper belt, and love it. Use it every day, gets abused....it's well made, but lasts me maybe a little over a year. Detailing nowadays requires so many different cleaners and tools....I could never go without it now.

    NanoSkin Autoscrub Medium Clay Mitt

Yeah, it's solid. I've done probably over 100 cars with it, and it's still holding up. Just be careful on hot panels.

    Anyone OCD about anything else?

I think I wash my hands like 100 times a day

    Waffle microfiber cloth

Definitely a waffle weave for the final wipe on glass.

    Streaking Spray Wax

I find Optimums Car Wax works best when it's not used straight. A light spritz of ONR on the panel first helps the wax spread and when wiped up with a quality waffle weave, it's streak free. This method is almost a necessity when using in direct sunlight.

First Time Using McKee's 37 Gloss Tire Gel

Opti-bond my favorite too....I just might have to try this.

Anyone use this battery powered pressure washer

I have this unit too, one thing to be aware of is the faulty automatic shut off switches. It's supposed to shut the electric motor off when you let go of the trigger. Mine stopped working probably after about 10 uses....I read many reviews, and people are saying there's stopped working after...

Tried the Big Red Sponge today...

For first time BRS users, just remember if the vehicle is pretty dirty, your going to have to make a few passes over the area with a freshly squeezed out sponge. I used to use microfiber towels (GD method) and all of the constant folding of the towels would just slow me down, and quite frankly...

Tried the Big Red Sponge today...

That's how I do it. I save a lot of time, and I get a ton of compliments...and that's the formula I'm looking for :)

    Your best leather cleaning technique?

If the dirt is really embedded into the grain of the leather...any cleaner and sometimes a magic eraser won't be able to break it loose. A steamer with a horse hair attachment brush will loosen it with just a few passes...then I'll use a dedicated leather cleaner and a brush to agitate and mop up.

XFE-7-12-80 vs LHR75E...is there really a significant difference?

All I want to know is....which one stalls less?

    Meguiars Hyper Wash

I didn't think it smelled like cough syrup at all....to me it's more of a "soapy smell"....maybe like a dish soap, but much much better!

    Meguiars Hyper Wash

Smells amazing! Plus...the suds are so slick, I damn near slipped off my platform bench when I do SUV's! I usually brace myself with one hand on the roof, and numerous times I'm slippin' and slidin' all over the place.

Clay towel at the end of its life?

I've only used the Nanoskin clay mitt...I've used this thing on at least 100 cars and still hasn't worn out. Very durable.
