    Working my First Full Detail

Think I kind of knew that... But didn't want to accept it. lol. Really makes me angry because of how I take care of my car. Of course, I can't take my car back to Honda... just out of warranty, not that they would do anything anyways.

    Working my First Full Detail

So I worked my test spot and everything looked great when I used Ultimate Compound and an Orange Edge Pad. I worked the hood and moved to the Roof and the Deck lid/spoiler. It did a great job in getting rid of the minor/moderate swirls I had in my Honda Civic SI's CC. However, after I...

Klass AIO vs Collinite 845 vs FK1000P

My vote would be KAIO topped with the Collinite. or the 601/105 topped with Collinite. They last many months in the winters of upstate NY. So I am sure they can handle what you have to throw at it. :D

How do you clean wax out of your foam applicator?

I use Dawn Dissolve to clean the pads and then let them air dry. It does a great job in cutting the sealant and wax and return to like new shape. I store them in a ziplock bag.

Best paint sealant ti use during winter

I live in Rochester, NY... which is also a "great" winter destination. LOL. Anyways, I always use DG #601 and apply #105 over. Let that cure and top with Collinite. That will keep you all winter with time to spare.

    Duragloss sealant questions....

Learn something new everyday. Had no idea it had an abrasive. Must be very, very mild.... still love the stuff and use it often when I prep my car for the winter.

What are the best bang for the buck products?

No one has mentioned DG Aquawax... Easy to put on and lasts months and is under 10 bucks a bottle that will last a long time. You can use it on paint, glass, trim, wheels, wipers... list goes on and it looks great.

    Duragloss sealant questions....

105 does not have any abrasives in it. Combined with 601 is a great sealant... I top with collinite and it lasts all winter. Much easier to apply by hand...

    Product Reccomendations (Honda Paint)

You can also get Ultimate Compound and Swirlx. Some say these are even easier to use, as you can work them for a long time. Glad to see a fellow SI owner. Mine is a 2007... Wish I could keep mine locked in the garage. :D

What products would you use on this car?

I can't tell from the pic if the paint is a metallic or not... If it is, then I would use Pinnicle SSII and if it wasn't I would use Liquid Souveran. But if you ask 30 different people, you will probably get 30 different answers. This is where a quote from Mike comes in handy... Find...
