1971 Dodge Charger R/T - 1940 Oldsmobile Streetrod shine by Pinnacle

Thanks for having us Mike, it was great to see all the passionate enthusiasts there learning and working on these awesome cars. I'm a little biased towards the Charger, but the little section I worked on came out awesome. I have a flex so it was nice to use some other tools as well as some...

Does anyone use a 4 post lift for detailing?

Usually when your doing that much work under a car you go with a 2 post. It allows better access to the components. I've never used one for detailing but have used a 2 post for working on cars. It's a back saver.

    No More Rain-X ??

I've started to try a couple glass coatings, but rain x is pretty hard to beat. I use it on our classic cars alot since the old wipers are barely marginal by today's standards. On my dd i don't seem to have to reapply that often and it's very easy to use. I use a little qd when buffing off the...

Autogeek Attends 2015 Boca Raton Concours d'Elegance!

We used to go to a show all the time that required you have a fire extinguisher to get in and have it visible on your drivers floor. We rarely go through the judging process but I know many shows won't judge your car if you don't have one too. The only car I ever saw go up in flames was at a...

Autogeek Attends 2015 Boca Raton Concours d'Elegance!

At many car shows you have to have a fire extinguisher. My Father and I both have them in all our old cars and I usually carry one in my DD. It never hurts to be prepared

New 2015 Turtle Wax Shine Lock Sealant. Thoughts & Discussion?

Awesome video review Those results look pretty unfortunate. I've been a big fan of their rinse less wash and want to try their new trim and tire product. I hoped they were becoming a little more enthusiast minded. While sheeting is a valid way to deal with water it seems very misleading on...

Auto Show, Cars & Coffee and Car Cruise Etiquette

I would think that you would want to do a booth with some hands on demos for people to watch. Also it would not hurt to walk around and talk to people about their cars. Just remember perfect paint is not everyone's first priority at car shows. I go to car shows often, I usually toss out all...

Sign up: 1971 Dodge Charger - Show Car Detailing

Thanks Mike, I'm currently getting the Avanti ready for the Power Tour in June. The paint still needs more wet sanding and I'm probably going to see if I can get the Magnum 500 rims rechromed. I may just buy some Torque Thrusts. I've been focused on mechanical stuff now it's time to get to...

Compare Aqua Wax to Lucas Quick Mist

I don't know much about their chemistry. Aquawax is by far my favorite and it lasts much longer. Slick goes on easy and provides a good shine, but the protection does not seem to last.

I just started looking at lighting for my garage that I can install this spring. Based on that response I have a lot more research to do since I'm not familiar with those terms.

What do you use to keep track of your scheduling?

I don't detail professionally, but I live by my Microsoft outlook calendar at work. You can pair it with your phone, include notes, tasks. Alerts, location and block out the entire time of the meeting. It will also tell you when you have a conflict.

Any advice for selling a car privately?

This is very good advice, Microsoft office has a pretty good template for a bill of sale.
