Remove water spots without stripping sealant?

i agree. in fact, i will often rinse my car off in the rain and let the rain act as a spot less rinse, since it very rarely spots around here.

Remove water spots without stripping sealant?

i feel like i'm repeating myself. they don't prevent water spots, if that is what you mean by "stop" water spots. coatings aren't an active forcefield. but they help "stop" water spots from damaging the finish, which, ultimately, is the purpose of a coating - protection of the investment. as i...

Remove water spots without stripping sealant?

i disagree. spots that would etch paint and breach all OTC waxes and sealants might appear on coatings (they aren't forcefields), but they don't breach the coating and are less likely to actually etch, depending on the product. obviously not all coatings are the same so maybe some do get...

    waterless wash

for rinseless. i believe when he said 8 parts, he meant for waterless.

    Smoothing out my matte finish?

taking it back doesn't mean a respray, but at least consult the outfit who did it to see what their take is. it's their responsibility to figure it out, not yours. you paid for the job to be done right, not partially right and then you figure out the rest and possibly compromise the whole job...

    waterless wash

i use opti-clean for everything - glass, interior hard surfaces, instant detail, waterless wash. there are other options as mentioned, some really good ones, but, i've found it to be the most used item in my arsenal so i stick with it. i have two bottles going at any given time. one with a...

Recommendations to freshen up engine hoses

i have done all of my personal stuff since '07 (all '07+ cars) and never had to cover a thing in the engine bay. late model cars are fine in that regard. i'm not blasting the thing with pressure or much water anyway - i use just enough to remove the diluted Power Clean and/or ONR residue.

    video: Dry Me Crazy

fair enough. i find towels easier plus i can't make all that noise a lot of the times that i wash, esp. inside if i'm doing rinseless at night.

    video: Dry Me Crazy

oh wow, it's not. i figured if they sold CarPro they sold Microfiber Madness since Corey is the exclusive distributor for North America. AG should. imo it's the best drying towel i've ever used. i like it much, much more than waffle weaves because it's so soft and plush and seems to have a...

SEMA Roll Call - Who's going to SEMA?

good for them. the show is to do business, not kick tires and just "be there". if someone is legit, they will get in. it sounds like you are definitely legit and shouldn't have to worry once you prove your info. unfortunately a lot of people still aren't anything but onlookers and still go there...

    Windshield coating and wiper skipping

i have Opti-Glass and no apparent skipping. i have it on two cars but only one sees rain so that's a very, very small sample for you. sorry i don't have more info but i do know my wife loves barely ever having to use the wipers on her car. i know OPT formulated Opti-Glass specifically to not be...

    video: Dry Me Crazy

thanks all. i know it's kind of silly but i was drying the thing and even though i've had these towels for a long time, i am still in awe of how well they work. so, i figured i'd show them in action.

    CQuartz leather?

low pile MF and Power Clean at 5:1-10:1 and some elbow grease. then wipe with wrung damp mf (i keep a 5 gallon bucket filled with water right outside the door) to make sure you remove all the cleaner. that will assure it's squeaky clean. you never know what the dealer might or might not have put...

    video: Dry Me Crazy

i haven't washed my car since the middle of the summer. the whole thing is coated with Opti-Coat Pro with the hood and trunk also coated with Gloss-Coat. i flooded it after the wash today and pulled it in to dry. excuse the breathing and my wife playing with our baby boy in the background...

    Dead bug in headlight

uhh, i have an old B&D VH780 that has served me so well over a decade. it's awesome. it has a flexible ribbed hose attachment to which i've semi-permanently affixed the cone from one of those vac detail kits: i fashioned a several foot long small ID clear hose attachment that fits that cone...
