its called a gamma seal lid. Its for creating a leak free seal mostly used for food storage. I got them for 2 reasons. One was obviously cosmetics and two you can screw the lid on and use it as a seat when cleaning wheels.

I use 2 coats of collinite 845 then top it with a single coat of collinite 915. Will last atleast 4-6 mths or an entire winter
