OP; The crud you are seeing in the spoiler is the micro splits in the fiberglass that has caused the base coat to stripe. Very common with cheap factory spoilers... I see this all the time and the truth of the matter to fix it is it needs to be sanded down, gel coated then painted... Some...

So far on one of my buddy's Bimmers (1990 E30 M3) we "Shadow Lined" his car using Plasti Dip almost 8 months ago and it is still wearing well! No chips or scratches! My Kidneys have been done for about 4 months and no chips or scratches and the rear Z3 emblem has been done for about 2 months...
