Just curious, did you keep your 7424 and try to use that? I recently did two Prius', one with a 7424 and the other with a Rupes. I used Meguiars 105 and then 205. I got far better results with the 7424. I couldn't put much pressure on the Rupes and keep it spinning....I blame my technique...

I agree that the filter design leaves a lot to be desired...As you point out it is ridiculous to clean. In fact, after reading your post I thought it's been quite a while since I've cleaned mine. Rather than remove it--which is a pain---I got another small garage vac I own and vacuumed it...

I have the Hoover GUV as well. It's nice to have it mounted on the wall in the garage. It's out of the way but always ready to go. I've had mine for several years now. Got it from Amazon.

Would you use these products just for waterspots or would they be too harsh?

I just took a look at these canopies over at Amazon. Based on some of the reviews it appears the way these canopies are measured has changed. Some were saying the dimensions given used to be for the canopy itself but now they're measured at the base and the legs slant out...So the canopy...

I dusted off my PC last weekend and used the M105 and M205. I had the same issue with the 105, it dried up very quickly. I did as what others suggested and shortened up the area in which I work and gave it a quick spray of water...This helped a bit. Didn't have any issues with the 205. I...
