You won't be disappointed with it. I did my wife's car when we got it a few months ago and put it on EVERYTHING. The car looks great and it cleans up with an unparalleled ease.

It's tough to break away from the old habit of "the more protection the better," but realistically with the cost of coatings you would EXPECT them to perform well on their own.

I would agree with Ronkh57 & GSKR especially after you mentioned this. COAT IT! Once it's coated the mentality is that of the old oven infomercials... "Just set it... AND FORGET IT" (kinda). If you're going to go two months or longer without applying additional LSP, coating is the way to go in...

This is a great thread and definitely got me thinking... I may see how well Uber does on it's own from here on out without the addition of D156 during the drying process. I think I need to trust the product I purchased to do what is claimed and not interfere.

I feel like this topic will be debated until the end of time. I put a coating on a car for the first time a few months ago (Wolfgang Uber Ceramic) and I still use D156 after every wash. I don't feel that diminishes the purpose of the coating, I see it as an extra layer of protection/gloss. Ever...

Nick - do you think this would have an impact on the fogging/condensation build up that occurs here in FL when the exterior windshield temp is warmer than than the interior temp? I hate having to crank on the defroster to get rid of this.

Agreed that it wouldn't be an easy task to figure out exactly where the iron deposits were landing, but it could be done with the correct tool set in my mind if it was on hand.

When you say that the iron deposits are forming on the paint, do you mean that they penetrated the coating and therefore you have no more protection in that specific spot from it? If it went through to the paint, then yes that would seem like a waste. But at the end of the day if it's just...
