    Wanna see a grownman cry..........

Ugh... It looks like the owner of the Vette even parked far away from other cars to avoid this type of thing. I love living in FL /sigh

Putting together CR Team for Detail Fest Detailer's Cup - Filming on Friday, March 17th

Hey Mike! I'm definitely interested in this. I haven't been around since late December simply because my daughter was born on 12/28/16. I think this would be a great experience and would love to participate if possible!

What do you do to protect leather seats with a car seat installed?

Thanks for the suggestions, everyone. I ended up buying the Brica product from Target on my lunch break today. $25 a piece is cheap insurance to help protect the leather from pressure points.

What do you do to protect leather seats with a car seat installed?

For sure - I've dealt with lingering milk spills and it is NOT pleasant to say the least. Thanks for the suggestion and congrats to you as well! My little girl has a due date of January 3rd. Awesome, thank you for the reassurance. They seem pretty reasonably priced, so I may just get them...

What do you do to protect leather seats with a car seat installed?

Hey Everyone! So since I'm on baby watch for the next couple of weeks (expected due date of January 3rd... but who knows!) I installed a car seat base into my wife's car. Following the directions in the owners manual and car seat manufactures guide, I utilized the latch system and tightened it...

    soaking pads....question about personal prefrences

I've always soaked mine in a dawn/water mix. I haven't noticed any issues with the pads OR the backing on them and I didn't see any difference in the pads when I did use a dedicated polishing pad rejuvenator. (last time I did was about a decade ago) I'm still not entirely convinced that a...

New Van - What to do with the Roof

You won't be disappointed with it. I did my wife's car when we got it a few months ago and put it on EVERYTHING. The car looks great and it cleans up with an unparalleled ease.

    Topping Of Coatings?

It's tough to break away from the old habit of "the more protection the better," but realistically with the cost of coatings you would EXPECT them to perform well on their own.

New Van - What to do with the Roof

I would agree with Ronkh57 & GSKR especially after you mentioned this. COAT IT! Once it's coated the mentality is that of the old oven infomercials... "Just set it... AND FORGET IT" (kinda). If you're going to go two months or longer without applying additional LSP, coating is the way to go in...

    Topping Of Coatings?

This is a great thread and definitely got me thinking... I may see how well Uber does on it's own from here on out without the addition of D156 during the drying process. I think I need to trust the product I purchased to do what is claimed and not interfere.

    Topping Of Coatings?

I feel like this topic will be debated until the end of time. I put a coating on a car for the first time a few months ago (Wolfgang Uber Ceramic) and I still use D156 after every wash. I don't feel that diminishes the purpose of the coating, I see it as an extra layer of protection/gloss. Ever...

NEW Product from McKee's 37! Anti-Frost Windshield Washer Fluid

LOL Trust me... not looking for sympathy. But it's not fun having to crank your heat all the way up inside your car with the defroster when it's already 90+ degrees out.

NEW Product from McKee's 37! Anti-Frost Windshield Washer Fluid

Nick - do you think this would have an impact on the fogging/condensation build up that occurs here in FL when the exterior windshield temp is warmer than than the interior temp? I hate having to crank on the defroster to get rid of this.

    Reason I won't use a coating again

Agreed that it wouldn't be an easy task to figure out exactly where the iron deposits were landing, but it could be done with the correct tool set in my mind if it was on hand.

    Reason I won't use a coating again

When you say that the iron deposits are forming on the paint, do you mean that they penetrated the coating and therefore you have no more protection in that specific spot from it? If it went through to the paint, then yes that would seem like a waste. But at the end of the day if it's just...

Gettin that itch to get more gloss/shine

LMAO - This is hands down the greatest thing I have seen all week!!! :applause::applause::applause: Seriously though, the car looks good. If anything I would throw on another layer of whatever product you typically use, or a solid spray wax. I've become a HUGE fan of D156 for the gloss...

Gettin that itch to get more gloss/shine

Well... I know that from the factory, Dodge Challenger Hellcats have more gloss. Knowing that indisputable fact, you should trade in your Vette.
