Chemical Guys LAVA WAX is almost here!

I got my Lava yesterday, and am surprised @ it's consistency. It is a cross between a paste and a liquid. (@ least I hope that is supposed to be it's consistency)

Detailing Lights, what are you using?

I have an MH light that I use. I got it in the industrial section of HD. I hotwired it to use with an extension cord. I use it a lot, but not nearly as much as my led head lamp.

Detailing Lights, what are you using?

Out of all of the lights I have invested in, my LED headlamp is the one I use the most, by far. I have metallic black paint, and the halogens are too bright, much like Alko asked if it was even possible a page back. The metallic flake reflects so much light that I can't see the...

    Mothers Reflections Tire Care Review

That tire dressing is not only easy to apply and great looking, it is very durable as well. Some of the initial sheen is lost in a wash or 2, but the tire remains really black for a long time.

How to avoid marring? what is micro marring?

Micromarring is the small sized, uniform haziness left in the paint that a compound leaves due to the compound being aggressive as far as polish material size. Micromarring can be removed with a "finishing polish" because the polishing particle size is smaller, thus not leaving detectable...

    Keep, Trash or Buy?

I have thrown away products in the past, and regretted doing so some time later. Some of what I threw away, I regretted badly enough to buy over again. One thing I can recommend from personal mistakes is if you are just a hobbyist, only buy the smallest available bottle / jar etc. You can...

Anyone ever tint their own windows before?

I agree with these guys.^ By the time you get the hang of it, you will have already spent $100.00 in tint and supplies. It is best to let the professionals take care of this one, imo.

LSP, is there such thing as TOO thin?

I am into thick application. LOL. I can't explain why, but it pretty drastically reduces the number of sealants that I enjoy using. My fault, but I like to slather it on for some reason.

anyone feel bad when you smell Meg's APC+?

Meguiars APC is extremely harsh imo. I sound like a broken record always posting this, but it ate my recaros in a few uses, and dried my hands out worse than anything I've ever used. I guess, technically, it is doing its job by "degreasing" my hands, but I can get similar results with...

Chemical Guys "V" series optical polishes?

How about dustless polishing? I'm a huge Menzerna fan as well, and v38 finishes every bit as well as 85rd and 106fa without the dust. I have many products that sit as well, but I either trade them to someone who likes them, or sell them to someone who wants to try them. If you don't try...

    Optimum opti-seal question

It would be perfectly safe, but the decal will no longer be flat. It will definitely have a sheen.

It's here and it's on SALE!

Do you know whether vertua bond contains abrasives? I'm a little disappointed to hear that black light contains some. All aio's applied by hand on my car give me holograms.
