Recommendations for Toyota or VW paint?

I have a Silverstone grey VW and really like pinnacle liquid souveran wax. It's super easy to use, goes a long way, lasts a long time and looks fantastic. Lots of jetting and depth. For cleaning I use Klasse AIO. The PLS goes with it very well. For correction I use Menzerna products. I only...

Baking Soda solution for emergency bird poop?

Sometimes when you're not home part of the poop will be really stuck and won't come loose with just QD and a towel, unless you rub hard and risk scratching the paint. I wonder if carrying a spray bottle of distilled water with baking soda dissolved in it won't neutralize the acid till you get...

    Drug of choice for waxaholics!

I started using Liquid Souveran this year from using Wolfgang sealant previously. The Souveran holds up very well with two coats, but with one coat of Wolfgang underneath, especially applied to a Klasse AIO pre-cleaned paint, I can get through the NY winters very nicely.

    Detailing Non-Black Trim?

Yeah cleaning is a good idea. Some of the haziness could be old wax that shouldn't be there.

You paid how much for that wax?

Some products in general are priced higher just to give the perception that they're better. This applies to any category of product, from women's shoes to car waxes I'm sure.

    Suds and Duds

I tried laundry soap but never liked it. Hell I even use a dash of micro soap to get the soap residue out of bath towels every so often. I love to find cheaper alternatives when I can but those microfiber cleaners are the cleanest rinsing things I've ever seen. I've found that a second rinse...

    Wool mitt

I've never brushed any of mine. I'd be afraid it would fall apart faster. Is this about the Dodo Juice ones?

    My first buy from AG

IMO Sprayway glass cleaner is the best. Plus it's easy to get, you can get it in the home/hardware stores like Ace. I even saw it in the supermarket the last time I was there, in it's own display!

    chemical Guys?

I bought a gallon of their microfiber cleaner a while back. It worked quite well, no complaints. But ummm, shouldn't you have asked this before purchasing such a load?

wolfgang black diamond tire gel application question

For the first tire I run a thin bead around the rectangular applicator, not on the edge but close to it, to make sure it's fully loaded. For each other tire I just run a bead down the center. I find this makes it easier because I get fewer dry spots on the rubber that I have to go over again...

Getting rid of these scratches from my Brand new car

You can use ultimate compound on PLASTIC? I thought that plastic couldn't be aggressively polished since it's not really painted.

What is the best wash mitt for suds?

I love my lambs wool mitt (the one with the light brown cuff) but I found that it removes more wax than the LC foam. It also cleans better but if the car isn't very dirty the foam gets is clean and leaves the wax. I can go longer between waxes with the LC mitt.

Lake Country ruined their wash mitt.

So now I have to yell at AG instead? Hey AG, request more double sided mitts from LC will ya! That's such a perfect mitt. Oh btw... I bought a second double sided mitt for my wife and the two halves separated up by the finger tips after just a couple of washes. (that's how I found out...

What is the best wash mitt for suds?

The "Ulti-Mitt" made by Lake Country holds a LOT of soapy water and then you make a fist it squeezes out through the pores in the foam making lots of suds. I often do that and then pat the surfaces just ahead of where I'm currently washing to have some bubbly lubrication for when my hand comes...

You ever want to help OTC shoppers?

I tell lots of people about pro products and the difference between them and OTC. Surprisingly, very few people listen.

Please HELP!!! Can my glass be saved....

I bought a LC foam glass pad a few years ago and it's not exactly a soft pad if that's what you're thinking. It's stiff and hard, unlike their polishing pads. It's more like their tangerine hydro pad foam than polishing pad foam, but stiffer, so I don't know how well it does curved surfaces. I...

What products do you use to polish white paint?

My GF's white Nissan looks great with Pinnacle liquid souveran (after a full DA polishing of course). I've tried a few others sold here at AG but this one was best for under $40 bucks. I'd love to hear other ideas too, but those glazes just wash off. And you said you buffed out the swirls.

Did Liquid Souveran spray change their formula? Look totally different.

Well last chance, the LS is on and I'm going to try the orange-ish brown LS spray wax on top. I certainly hope it's not a mislabeled wax stripper or something. PS: I just did the hood with both and the brown one even smells different. The original yellow spray has no real odor but the brown...

Help the new guy bring new life to his Grand Cherokee

I'm no pro but I brought back my grey 10 year old VW (first ever real detail) with a DA (PC) CCS pads and menzerna polishes, and by all accounts it looks amazing. I used a combination of Intensive polish and Micro polish, which took out all the swirls and only left the deeper scratches, and...

Did Liquid Souveran spray change their formula? Look totally different.

Well I certainly will, but these last two much darker bottles just arrived from your warehouse that way - and I don't think you guys left it in the sun... Right? I haven't tried the brownish-orange bottles yet but they certainly don't look like the creamy yellow ones I got twice before. I'm...
