How Long Does it Take You to Complete a Waterless Wash?

I use UWW+ and it doesn't gloss up black enough for me. It's fine for my wife's gray Audi, but on black it definitely doesn't pop. YMMV, I guess.

How Long Does it Take You to Complete a Waterless Wash?

20 minutes for the wash, 15 minutes for the Hybrid V7 or other quick detailer afterwards for gloss. I have not found a single waterless wash that glossed the paint enough for me not to go over it one more time with a dedicated spray sealant or QD.

    How 'bout dem Cowboys?

E-A-G-L-E-S... EAGLES! The Cowboys do really well against teams with average cornerbacks. Romo can usually pick these teams apart. Seattle is pretty loaded in the secondary and you saw the result. The Cowboys O-Line is also just so-so, inviting Romo to make some off-balance, cross body...

Ever use your detailing skill on something other than a car?

I just applied some Wolf's Chemicals Hard Body to my Macbook Pro Retina Display laptop. Two coats after an IPA wipedown. I think it really does resist scratches (or at least transfer of material to the surface).

New car - to seal or to wax?

it's really, really hard to polish clearcoat by hand. You need a lot of elbow grease (and I mean A LOT), and you need a lot of time. When I polish using a dual action polisher, it still takes me about 4-6 hours at least to get the paint to sparkle. If you do insist on doing it by hand, you...

New car - to seal or to wax?

Dawn is definitely safe for paint. As long as you wash your car safely (two bucket method, soft mitt/sponge), any swirls you see are truly there and have been hidden by whatever LSP you have on now. Thats a much more involved question. It depends on the type of paint you have, the type of...

New car - to seal or to wax?

The only stupid question is the one not asked. That is what this forum is for--asking questions to people who have a lot of experience and creating community. I've learned a ton since I've been here (and I thought I knew a lot before :xyxthumbs: ) That said, I would do this with what you...

    Haven't been detailing much...

Love the car, but why not enjoy it a bit while it's stock? All those mods are fun, but it makes it hard to judge a baseline or figure out problems when so many changes are made at once. Just my 2 cents. My car is bone stock, BTW. Kinda punny for an orthopedic surgeon, I guess.
