Wash Autogeek Microfiber Towels Before First Use?

Welcome to AG! Definitely wash your towels before using them. I think that microfiber detergent works best for me, but I have used Mrs. Meyer's fragrance free baby detergent and had good results. The biggest thing is to make sure you DO NOT USE FABRIC SOFTENER. This includes in the detergent...

    Labor Day Plans?

Washed the car with Pinnacle Bodywork Shampoo, then tried Griot's Speed Shine for the first time. It's a pretty nice QD! Very easy to use and no streaks. I don't think I'm giving up V7 anytime soon, but it's a good after wash booster for sure. I got a little bored, so I applied 2 coats of...

A peek at the 2013 Corvette w/the special 60th anniversary trim.

I agree. For some reason, the Vette always looks outdated to me. Then again, I drive a Transformer.

BlackLight By DA - Any Tips?

I'm not a fan of BL by hand. I like it with: - a white pad when I want it to be an AIO - a black pad when I want it to be more of a glaze I always always top it, as the durability that it has alone is not that great. V7 is awesome, but for me Fuzion + V7 has been better. My next detail is...

    Best Interior UV Protection?

+1 to Ultima. I have been using it on almost everything because I love the way it feels to the touch--like a chinchilla's belly.

Applying a Poly Sealant over Carnauba Wax?

Ha! I am a big nerd. Always have been, always will be :xyxthumbs: All scientific discovery happens with a question plus some curiosity. If you don't think science is happening every time you detail, you're not looking hard enough :coolgleam:

Applying a Poly Sealant over Carnauba Wax?

I'm gonna think a bit outside of the box here--you can use a wipe-on/walk-away sealant like Zaino Clear Seal or Optimum Opti-Seal on top of wax and make it last longer. It also changes the look of the wax, for better or worse. I've never tried to put a traditional sealant on top of wax, but...

XMT 360 as a quick detailer.

XMT 360 spray wax is too thick to be an effective spray detailer. That, plus the fact that it needs to be buffed off makes it not ideal for that purpose. +1 to a waterless wash (like UWW+). XMT is a great booster for Souveran after a wash though. You should give that a try :xyxthumbs:

    Fuzion vs Blackfire Midnight Sun

No one has mentioned that Fuzion seems to attract a whole lot less dust than most nubas. For me in SoCal, this is a bigger deal than water repellence. It looks fantastic and it lasts for a long time (for a nuba). I can get over 2 months in the GT-R which is garaged, and over a month on the Q5...

Order of operation for Quick Detailer and Spray Wax

+1 to skipping the QD. If I QD after a wax, I wait at least 12 hours to let the wax cure.

    Spray Waxes out the gawwzoooo!

OCW is WOWO, not WOWA. Big difference. If you are able to apply OCW as a WOWA, then you need to tell me your secret because I needed to buff it off after application to prevent streaking. Just because the finished product looks different doesn't mean they are different types of product...

What to get next, when having the following

You can put the Wolfgang over either the EZ Creme or the Blacklight. I wouldn't do too much over that though because I think at some point, you get a bit of diminishing returns on your product. BL and EZ are definitely two different products. EZ has very little durability, and BL is a bit...

    Ultima Interior Guard Plus ROCKS!

I had to do two coats to get it right. I did it at night and I had some streaks. I went over everything a second time with UIGP and buffed gently and the results were spectacular! :props:

    Ultima Interior Guard Plus ROCKS!

Man, I probably will get that too :xyxthumbs: Thankfully, my car never gets dirty enough to use such a product. I use Meguiar's QID for everyday dust and the like.

    Ultima Interior Guard Plus ROCKS!

Just finished my GT-R with UIGP. For anyone who is on the fence about this stuff--I have three words for you: BUY IT NOW! It's probably my favorite product that I've ever used for the interior--ever. I bit on it after reading CEE-DOG's review and I am sooooo happy about it. My seats feel...
