Hi Nick, Is the McKee's 37 High Gloss Detail Spray an old formulation or new? If old, which was it? Thanks, Doug

    Richy's Thinking Outside the Box

I know people have used polish and sealant on shower doors. But, is there a car product that would work with a DA polisher to clean tile and tile grout?

    Bird poop!

I'm not a paint guy and have never worked in a body shop or paint shop, but it seems to me that the paint jobs on new cars today are much better looking than they were in the past, say 20 to 30 years ago. Today they just look dripping wet. Although I wasn't as fanatical about my paint 30 years...

Fine scratches and swirls on auto glass

Hope that your windshield catches a rock and it cracks.

How many of you use a MACHINE to WAX your vehicle?

Sometimes I don't like lugging out the extension cord, polisher, pads, prime the pad, and then apply the wax while being careful not to bump the car with the cord. I would probably use a machine more if I had a battery-powered polisher. When I get some extra cash.......or maybe Christmas!

Microfiber storage question? (Bag, bin, other?)

We have some of those clear thick square plastic bags that comforters and blankets come in. They have zippers that go around the entire bag. I keep my microfibers in a couple of those. Just a hobbyist here.

    Stacking sealant and wax

That's good to hear. I checked out the 1000P description and it doesn't mention anything about bird bombs that I saw. I would think that if a sealant or synthetic wax or whatever you want to call it is resistant to or prevents bird bomb etching that the manufacturer would want to mention it in...

    Stacking sealant and wax

It's funny...I don't see many sealants mention they are resistant to bird bombs. I've had Power Lock and UPP on cars and bird bombs etched my paint within days of application of both. Maybe the carnauba designers have it right after all. Although I haven't tried it yet, Rejex says it prevents...

    Pressure Washer

I prefer the gas pressure washers. I have the Generac One Wash and I love it. Has four settings - the lowest is for autos - 2000 psi @ 2.8 gpm. Highest is 3100 psi and is great for sidewalks.

    Review: Wolfgang Fuzion Spray Wax

Looks great! Now I hope they come out with a liquid version of Fuzion that I can use with the buffer!

Posted by my local Honda Dealer. Pis**d me off!!

Maybe if they just did it, explain to them that the reason you didn't want it washed was because of possible scratching, then show them the scratches from dry wiping it. Tell them you'll take care of it since you don't have faith in their body guys, but tell them since it will take you x amount...

    liquid wax v. Paste waxes

I just wish all LSP's were made in both liquid and paste forms. Last year I was a paste guy...this year I'm more of a liquid guy. Probably a stupid question but please take kit easy on me: Can paste wax be melted and poured into a wider container that a pad would fit into?

    Quick Detailer and Spray Wax

Thanks Marc for the info and link (excellent write up by Nick by the way). I kind of figured that was the case, but I saw a post the other day where someone said they would use a spray on wax in place of a QD and I kind of when 'huh?', so I wanted to confirm my thoughts. Thanks again!

    Quick Detailer and Spray Wax

I always thought that these were two different types of products, but when I clicked into 'Quick Detailers and Spray Waxes' on the Autogeek website, it states "Some call them “spray waxes,” some call them “QDs” (quick details), but whatever you call them, don’t call them insignificant. These...

    White pad or New compound

You could try another compound such as Griot's BOSS Correcting Cream or Fast Correcting Cream. I've used the Correcting Cream with good results. the Fast Correcting Cream has had good results on this forum. Either of these with an orange pad should work fine. They finish down real nice also.

    Removing water spots from GLASS!!

I've used Griot's Garage Glass Polish and it works great. Just use it by hand and you're done quickly. Don't put too much pressure on it.
