Have I ruined my interior with Meguiars APC?

"Use distilled water and the problem is solved" .......Really? No one is telling him to avoid APC's. We're telling him that APC's and D101 in particular can be very caustic and are highly alkaline. On an older vehicle, specifically like the vehicle in the OP's photos, the plastics and vinyl...

Need advice on HD Speed or Pad

You're the first person I've ever heard say the D151 is easier to remove and dusts less than HD Speed. When I hear people experience dusting with HD Speed I always immediately assume that it's pad dusting from previous compounds that weren't cleaned out completely OR they are trying to use HD...

New Jescar products! Medium polish and AIO!!!

I bought the new jescar AIO and have tried using it on several occasions with little success. Here's my post from the Autopia forum talking about my negative experience with Jescar AIO. Let me preface this by saying I am a HUGE fan of both Jescar Correction Compound and Jescar Micro Finishing...

Have I ruined my interior with Meguiars APC?

On cars this old I try my best to avoid using any APC or degreaser. If it's really bad I'll used M37 Hi-Intensity APC+ but I dilute is 20:1. In the future, I would just clean with a low-nap microfiber towel and a mild cleaning product like M37 N-914, Optimum Opti-clean, D114, ONR, M37 Fast...

Have I ruined my interior with Meguiars APC?

Just to clarify, are you talking about Optimum Power Clean which is an amazing APC/degreaser? I know Opti-Clean is a waterless wash but it works great as an interior detailer. IMO Optimum made the names of these two very different products way too similar.

    Best Brand Top to Bottom

I honestly LOVE a fewproducts from every company. 3D (Polish+ & HD Speed) Wolfgang (WGDGPS, WETS, Uber) Optimum (Power Clean, Optimum Metal Polish) Mckee's 37 (Hi-Intensity APC+, Fast Interior Detailer) Griot's (Fast Correcting Cream, Perfecting Cream) Meguiars (M101, M100) Best is so...

Lake Country CCS Pads (new improved version)

I tend to agree with you guys that the CCS pads aren't as good as flat pads. I don't like that they can't be blown out with compressed air as effectively as open-cell pads but the primary reason I don't buy CCS pads is because the pockets don't seem to be deep enough to actually provide a cooler...

    Help: Rotary Buffer Use

Re: Help: Rotary Buffer Use / Should Only Distilled Water Be Spritzed On Pad? First, I highly doubt that there would be any discernible difference between using a spritz of tap water vs a spritz of distilled. I can't imagine that the microscopic contaminants and minerals in tap water would...

Looking for a quality interior detail spray

I've notice that with D114, ONR, & ONRW&W. Which rinseless washes have you experience streaking with on interiors? Uber is the only one I haven't had to worry about streaking with on leather, vinyl, or plastic. The main benefit to a product like M37 Fast Interior detailer is that it can be used...

Looking to re-invest in some pads

If you like the white boss foam pad I think you'll love the orange & green B&S low-pro pads. The entire low-pro line up is unbelievably durable as well. I'll be eager to hear your feedback. I'm completely different in the sense that I like thick foam pads like the rupes yellow and the B&S...

Looking for a quality interior detail spray

I agree that Meguiars Interior detailer can smell terrible. 2 out of the 3 bottles I've bought over the years smelled like pure vinegar. M37 Fast Interior Detailer is one of the best scents of any interior detailer I've used which is why I buy it. It also doesn't add any shine which I prefer...

Bug removers and plastic headlight lenses.

Are you using it in direct sunlight? If I were you I would intentionally avoid spraying the dedicated bug remover directly onto the headlight and if you do get some on the headlights I'd immediately wash it off with or take your mitt and hit them with your ph neutral car soap. Either way, I'd...

3M Trizact or Mirka Abralon discs

I'm glad you asked that. I haven't tried immolube but I saw Sandro (Car Craft Auto Detailing) use it in one of his videos and it definitely made me consider buying it for that purpose. I should have mentioned that I've never just used plain water as my wetting agent, but my previous post was...

Looking to re-invest in some pads

I see you already pulled the trigger and I know alot of people love them but I REALLY disliked the B&S orange & green low-pro foam. They're WAY too firm. If you prefer to cut with foam, I think you'll really like the orange & green foam pads because they are extremely aggressive. But I...

3M Trizact or Mirka Abralon discs

Trizact is extremely expensive and honestly if I wasn't a professional, I would probably only buy mirka abralon. I went through 4 boxes of 6" Trizact 1500 & another 5 boxes of 6" Trizact 3000 grit in 2017 alone. I also went through several boxes of the 3" versions. I wouldn't be surprised if I...

3M Trizact or Mirka Abralon discs

I use both. I buy Mirka Abralon 1000 & 2000 I also buy Trizact 1500 & 3000 Trizact works significantly better and cuts longer. Mirka 1000 is great for heavy oxidation on headlights and Mirka 2000 have a foam interface and are soft which makes them great when working on contoured panels...

    Polishing help

I've had numerous issues finishing with M205. I often work on softer stickier pants and over the years I've had many disappointing experiences with M205 I've personally found that when M205 becomes difficult to work with, HD Polish+, Jescar finishing polish, or Scholl Concept S30+ will...

One product, complete interior clean - APC?

Absolutely, a damp MF towel would be a fine option. If you're applying an interior protectant then there is no need to neutralize the alkalinity, just use the protectant after you've finish cleaning with your APC. That's a great interior/exterior APC. It's extremely concentrated and very...

    Griot's BOSS Microfiber pad observation...

I completely agree. Megs and LC MF pads do offer a bit more cut but the boss pads are easily the smoothest MF cutting pad that I've tried and when it comes to contours the Boss pads are easily the best option. Unfortunately I bought a dozen before they updated the foam interface. I still love...

One product, complete interior clean - APC?

You're definitely asking the right questions. I think having a dedicated carpet cleaner, dedicated leather cleaner, dedicated leather conditioner, and dedicated plastic and rubber cleaner is completely overkill. But, I am a professional so my opinion is bias. Personally, I would get Mckee's...
