    Repair Damage From Car Magnet?

It looks like it may be some fine scratching/abrasion. If that is the case do a test spot on it with some polish by hand. If that seems to work then proceed to finish it up. If it is a milky appearance as if water or moisture was trapped underneath, then try heating the area up with a heat...

Unhappy with my paint after the dealer painted it

Because of the ever-growing involvement of the insurance companies we have all moved out of the shop, either into management roles or we have joined the dark side (gone to work for the insurance companies). For those of us like myself that have moved into management roles- it isn't any easier-...

    Small dots/imperfections after compounding

I haven't done much for paint correction work on the 2007 and newer 911's, but the older cars have very soft paint that indents very easily from road debris. I believe this may be what you are seeing and it is not worth chasing it any further in my opinion.

Unhappy with my paint after the dealer painted it

^THIS!!! I have not been on the insurance side of things yet, but I worked my way from being a paint technician to a manager and this is exactly the case. They are not going to do anything, especially since all vehicles come from the factory with orange peel. Also, unless you are taking...

Mobile car "repair" spray painted my car and made a mess! How can I undo what he did?

Sounds like a case of: You get what you pay for. Also, most mobile guys are not really equipped to repair rust- just minor cosmetic repairs on bumpers. I did this for a living 12 years ago- we would charge $125 for half a bumper and $250 for a full- at those prices there was a minimal profit...

What goes into a show car paint job?

What goes into a show car paint job? Labor and Materials! There is alot more of both required for a show car job. A typical average respray on a vehicle is anywhere from $3000-8000- that is not including any bodywork or panel alignment- that is to, remove trim bumpers lights, sand, prime any...
