It's common to have a special bracket that fits into the tow hook on the front of the vehicle, especially on German cars. Not sure if those are available for Fords.

PA is definitely pretty strict, but I'm all in favor of it. I don't even like to talk on the phone while I drive...can't really since three of the four cars require me to shift. To me it's just too dangerous and not worth the risk. Love the "Hang Up and Drive" slogan. :xyxthumbs:

I rarely, if ever, see proper car-care techniques at shows. Whenever I use AG/proper methods I get looks from people wiping their garage queen down with a dirty rag. :rolleyes:

The orange peel will be tough to remove and probably isn't worth it. My Jeep has it pretty bad and I've just gotten used to it. :cry:

At the very least, sealant is must! My car is parked outside for 9 months through a brutal Michigan winter; it's comforting to know that it has a "sacrificial barrier" protecting the paint from whatever winter can throw at it.

I'd say if you have the time and energy, go for it yourself. If you find it too daunting, you could always take it to a reputable detailer. Those GLs are big vehicles, but a nicely detailed one will look stunning.

Ah, the dreaded smudges and fingerprints. I always find that the interior is dirty when the car is returned as well. Whoever moves the car obviously doesn't have clean hands when they do it. I'm always sure to have clean hands before getting inside.
