I would polish now and remove all your swirls now. Why? If you allow it to get any worse you'll have to take a more aggressive approach and remove more clear coat than you would if you did it now.

I never had any problems with my 21 mkii. Whenever I noticed the pad begin to stall on a curve Id adjust the angle at which i approached a curve and the pad would maintain its rotation. Just takes some practice on technique.

I honestly dont think they're ruined at all. might have cross contaminated them though. Id try to separate your nice towels from the rest and wash them again with a dedicated microfiber detergent and tumble dry on low.

I had the 21 and never experienced heat problems even working in the heat. I wonder if compounds can make a difference. Some aren't so sun friendly or heat friendly and perhaps can create more friction. I did use my rupes as a system, but I also used other various pads and never had issues.

I personally like quartz based coatings. Cquartz uk would be my recommendation. It's a bit trickier to apply but the results are worth it. 2nd option is gloss-coat. Extremely easy application. I haven't had issues with waterspotting but then again in Socal I barely rain at at all.
