ADS Ghost tire coating...real world durability and looks!

Have some Gyeon tire clean I planned to use. Might also bring out the tire brush. I generally haven’t dressed my tires because they didn’t last long enough.

What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

Just wiped the inside of my Bronco fender flares with Eraser if I decide to apply left-over CQUK3 to them.

    Coating for new Bronco

Decided not to coat the roof. Lots of problems with them and it does say in the manual not to use any solvents on them. Doing this mostly in case I have to go to Ford for a replacement. Had a crazy thought once I took the flares off: I have some CQUK3 leftover; if it’s still good, I may use it...

    Well, #%]^!

so far, no videos that I’ve seen use anything but their pad. I think it’s less about ‘their’ pad and more about using a waffle pad.

    Well, #%]^!

The video said there’s too much friction and it would set the stuff in the polish*. I wonder if I took a dremel to a flat finishing pad? Was planning on doing it huge next two days while the weather’s supposed to be good. Already took the fender flares off. *Same reason you have to use a low...

    Well, #%]^!

Just rewatched the video on the APP stuff I got from DIY and this time I noticed I can’t use a flat pad. Don’t have any non-flat. Don’t have their panel prep. Afraid I’m not going to be able to use the coating Guz sent me. Guess I’m going to have to guy buy a coating. Sick of all these...

What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

Rinseless with Absolute of my wife’s Navigator after the trip in the freezing fog last week. Used the leftover Absolute on a towel to do the interior of my son’s Maverick. Not sure if the Adam’s uv interior ceramic was still good (was hoping to).

IronX used like DIY detail iron remover?

Perhaps a dumb idea but could you add some IronX to a clay lube or vice versa?

    Coating for new Bronco

If I have the energy, hope to start on the coating this weekend. I think I won’t need to polish the paint (looks pretty good). Here’s the tentative plan… 1. Remove fender flares 2. Test spot IronX on paint 3. Clay towel 4. APP (including flares) applied with venerable porter cable 5. 8 year...

Plan for car we won’t keep as long?

That’s entirely possible. She has said this is her dream car and often said how well she likes it. However, when we were picking up my Bronco, the salesman showed her the mid-model refresh on the current navigator and I think she really liked it.

Plan for car we won’t keep as long?

Just got my new car but my wife’s Navigator is a 2014 model. It looks nice, runs well (so far), and doesn’t show too much age. When I talked with her about it being close to time to change tires, she said something about not keeping it too long. If she means getting a new navigator*, it’ll be...

How to tell if I need to replace interior coating

I’m going to keep using the GTechnic trio on my wife’s car so I’ll see how they do. I’ll Rinseless wash the Maverick and see how the surfaces react and see if I think there’s any protection. I’m still using my supply of opt stuff on the rarely driven mini convertible.

Two years on CQUK3.0 + Gliss 1 and CanCoat Evo: what to expect?

That’s in line with what I’m expecting. Won’t be above freezing for a little bit so I won’t know for a while b
