    Need advice cleaning wheels please

Are they chrome or clear coated chrome that is going to decide on the proper process. If it's clear coated get a heavy duty wheel cleaner I'm a Royal Brown fan. If the are you are down to polishing some rims. I use P21s polishing soap. Iron X may also be an option but check the indications

    Pad cleaning

Here is my OCD method. I have a bucket with about 2 gallons of water and add a cup of purple power. When a pad gets spent during a session in the bucket it goes. It just keeps the polish residue from drying on the pad and makes them easier to clean. Then after the job the get wrung out really...

What is this and why is it happening?

you could be picking up clay residue. You can try a test panel. Wash a section, clay, wash again then do an IPA wipe down when you switch to your finishing polish and see if the issue is resolved. Do it right on top of the current marring and see if you fix it. That's two things you can rule out...

What is this and why is it happening?

I never had any issues with V line polishes. Just some back round. You can work them a long time before they flash out. I never have had dusting issues with any of the polishes. If you are getting dusting then you worked them to long. The last thing regarding V series polishes are they have lots...

    Microfiber Pads Vs. Foam Pads

I have never used Meg's MF pads. I have always heard the have a premature lifespan. I use Car-Pro MF pads. The MF soft and the foam back is nice and thick. I have MF pads as old as my foam pads and they are still going strong. You just need to properly take care of them. They cut much faster...

    Pads

I use a baby tooth brush nice and soft and compressed air to loosen and remove dried compound on pads while I'm detailing. After that CG pad cleaner works great for me to keep them squeaky clean. I would stay away from powder cleaners as any undissolved powder can lodge itself in your pads.

    non-polymer\wax detailer ?

Griot's makes a pre-wax cleaner. It's meant to be used to remove polishing residue before LSP is applied. Car-Pro makes Eraser which is great but more expensive then the Griot's.

    Questions on Microfiber pads

IMO MF cuts faster but foam finishes better. I would check out Car-Pro MF pads. I love them and I have heard about meg's pads not lasting long. I have not had one fail on me yet.

    Chrmical guys

I agree. You really cannot be brand loyal in this business. I like the CG products I use but I do use other brands. Some of CG products really do work great for the money. I use CG, Optimum, Menzerna, P21s, Garry Dean's, Blackfire. The list goes on. The trick is to get the most out of each...
