I'm agreeing with Tim that this week has flown by...I have nothing on the board for today or tomorrow, so I guess I'll try and score some points with Mrs. Cutter and get her car nice and clean. As for the weekend, Mrs. Cutter has to work tomorrow and Sunday after Church she has a Baby Shower...

Heavily oxidized paint or worse?? How to polish...

I don't see where anyone should be embarrased...All anyone did was offer advice based on a few pics of not so great quality. I for one, agree that you should try something to save it first, you never know what results you may get. Just my .02.

For me, I'm 49 with a history of back and knee problems...just your general everyday aches and pains. My Dr. has me on a mild pain killer, on the lower panels I will turn a five gallon bucket upside down,, and on the under panels I will use my creeper. One thing I have found that helps me, is...

Info on Wilbert's Auto Plate (circa 1950's)

:welcome: TO AGO....There was a thread running earlier last night with a lot of "old-school" Buffers and Polisher's, this would have fit in nicely there. I have no idea about the wax you have, but all of this throwback stuff will have me looking!!! You say it smells like naptha, so I'm...

Trying to come up with a game plan.

:welcome: to AGO!!! A suggestion for getting around the car wash would be a water-less wash such as ONR or DP's Wash and Gloss. Being bitten by the detailing "bug" doesn't have to be expensive, there are many products out there that do a great job and are fairly in-expensive. Read the...

How much would this be worth??

That was a very good read...The three way posts IMO, provided valuable insight instead of just the usual one-sided thread post..Iwonder what the car looks like today:eek:??? If any of the parties involved are still active on the Forum, I would like to see pics and a follow-up story.

    Cleaning the seat belts?

I would try OPC diluted 3-1 agitate with a small brush, you can try to rinse with a damp MF. OPC is safe on all fabrics and I would'nt hesitate to use it if I was going to clean my seatbelts.

optimum hyper compound - how to clean buffing pad?

Cut down a five gallon bucket throw in a Grit Guard fill your cleaning solution to just level with the Grit Guard insert your buffer and run on speed 2. This will give your pad something to agitate against and help break down the oils. This is similar (kind of) to the Grit Guard System but...
