    How are you drying the car now? If you use rinseless wash with de-ionzed water there will not be any water spots. If you wash the microfiber a few times most of the loose bits will come off and you won't have that problem as much. I like chemical guys hybrid V7 on my black car.

    It is a daily driver, you are not going to be able to keep it perfect. You might want to see if your detailing friend can do a coating like opticoat. Do you have a garage? Keep the door closed and use a no rinse car wash.

    Their instructions on their other washes say 1 oz/16oz so that should be the right amount. 0.5/128 is a big difference from 4/128

    The chips seem small enough that you won't need manufacturer touch up paint, so the previously mentioned options should work. In addition to a clear bra you might want to add a coating for added protection, opti-coat, gtechic EXO or cquartz.

    Get 2, the cost of a grit guard is a lot less than the effort fixing the extra problems that could occur from not using one.

    Product advice for new car

    You probably should polish, to fix the swirls the dealer probably put in it, but inspect the paint under direct sunlight and see if there are any. If you haven't picked up the car yet, ask them not to wash it before giving it to you, they tend to cause more problems than they fix with the paint...
