    Barrett-Jackson auction

I watch it and want to know what one does for a living that they can afford to buy multiple cars at ridiculously high prices?. One dude bought one for $1.5 million. I'd love to have an extra million laying around.

    Working at a dealership

Just plan on doing cars as fast as you can to get them on the lot. I know I worked on used cars at a dealership for 5 years. As stated above, save your best work for the cars you have at home.

Just saw my first 2015 Mustang....OH NO!

I was behind a new Mustang yesterday. I love the sequential turn signals, but the rear of the vehicle was kinda boring.

Anyone here ever regret turning their hobby into a job?

I tried to turn a hobby into a paycheck as I took a job in reconditioning at a new car dealership. it was my first attempt at full time detailing and figured a dealership would always have work. I found out the hard way that a dealership is not the place for a detailer. Cars have to be slammed...

    What to ask for?

I'd just ask for some kind of gift card. This way you get the right products that you want. Having a non detailer get you supplies could go wrong. How old are you that people are Christmas shopping for you????

    Ebola in Texas!?

I'm in Ohio and one of the faculty members at my kids school was on the plane, not the flight from Dallas to Cleveland. That employee is now on paid administrative leave for 21 days. The school is to be disinfected and cleaned by a professional cleaning company over the weekend.

how do you handle customers like this?

The Little Green Machine works great on carpets too. The only problem I have, is that the clean solution tank is a bit too small.

    Dealership Detailing

If you want to be the shop that can bang out as many cars as possible in a day, go for it, Just do not get emotionally involved in the cars you are working on. Dealerships want FAST and Cheap and will probably complain about everything. Good luck.

    Dealership Detailing

I used to detail at a few dealerships and all of the above comments are true. They will want cars done as fast as possible and won't pay much. Dealerships that send their cars out to be detailed pay about $80-$100. I was paid flat rate, 4 hours to do a totally destroyed mini-van. No way. That is...

Is my wash process still causing swirls?

I am not familiar with "Paint Coating", but is it possible that the amount of washes and use of the pressure washer has caused the coating to fade? Maybe it just needs to be reapplied?

    Dealer installed swirls

Just remember, if you take it back to the dealership to have them correct what they did to your vehicle that some 18 year old "Porter" is probably going to work on your car.

    Just bought a HF DA

I have the HF DA polisher as well and left the backing plate that came on it alone. I bought the pads that HF carries (blue and black) and had no problems with either pads as of yet.

    Plasti Dip Ram Front Bumper

Looks good, nice work. Platsti-Dip is more durable than you may think. I did my wheels and Bowtie emblems. Not sure how well it will hold up if you wash your truck regularly.
