OptiCoat will work just fine. I use CQuartz and opticoat on matte finishes, both painted and vinyl surfaces, without a problem. -Beach

You are fine applying waxes and sealants to the matte wrap.... Though, I would suggest a coating for far greater and longer lasting protection. Just do a test spot to confirm if you're worried about certain products you may have. -Beach
