    All in one products

I enjoy using Hd Speed on my black escalade and it came out about 95-98% defect free. No swirls. It's good stuff.

    How Long Does it Take?!?!

I think using an AIO for his first time is a great start and is actually quite smart. In fact, many AIO's these days get almost as close as a two step. Many noobs will slop heavy compound and remove too much clear. Keep practicing and always try to achieve perfection, using the least...

Isolated buffing marks / buffer trail

Like Mike said; do a test spot or find out if there has ever been work done on any part of the car. I've done a vehicle in which the owner claimed original paint. One side of the car had extremely soft paint, while the other side was hard as nails. The job was done so well, you'd never guess...

    Cleaning GM (Cadillac) Chrome Wheels

So, what do you do? I have some flaking, but it looks finished chrome underneath. I've emailed a wheel refinishing company for an estimate. Gonna try to use a light wire wheel on the barrels and see what happens first.

    Cleaning GM (Cadillac) Chrome Wheels

I'm not a fan of aftermarket wheels (unless they are OEM look alike forged) and I like the factory wheels personally. :) would like to refinish them if I can...

    Cleaning GM (Cadillac) Chrome Wheels

That's what I was thinking. There is a spot where my brush and the harsh chemicals I was using to clean them with, took the coating off and it was shiny chrome underneath. Almost like they sprayed a layer of something on the barrels for protective reasons? Its a dull matte rough textured...

    Cleaning GM (Cadillac) Chrome Wheels

Well, I believe we all are in the keeping our vehicles in tip top shape category and stray from replacement if at all possible. I'd rather be able to remove or polish the problem myself then replace. Wouldn't you agree? If by any chance you'd like to donate a few K in my direction, I'll email...

    Cleaning GM (Cadillac) Chrome Wheels

Anyway, These GM wheels are complete crap and this truck is a garage queen too. 2009 with 45k miles.

    Cleaning GM (Cadillac) Chrome Wheels

Mine aren't that bad. There are some oxidation spots, but they are mostly stained on the barrels. Should be able to clean the peeling with a wire wheel. I'm just trying to clean the stains first and possibly polish them if I can.

    Cleaning GM (Cadillac) Chrome Wheels

Btw, I was cleaning the inside with a degreaser and the finish was coming off with a stiff brush. But it wasn't something that was easy to remove. Didn't know if someone had a product or technique in removing it or just cleaning the stains in general.

    Cleaning GM (Cadillac) Chrome Wheels

You can see the chrome starting on the inside edge. Might grab a 3" micro and some compound and see if it will polish off.

    Cleaning GM (Cadillac) Chrome Wheels

These wheels are on a 2009 Cadillac escalade. It does seem like an aluminum colored type of paint, but the finish is rough or course.

    Cleaning GM (Cadillac) Chrome Wheels

Anyone have a trick or polishing technique on cleaning the inner barrels of GM wheels? I'm not sure on the newer wheels, but the prior generation has a matte course finish and it's a pain to keep clean. I've noticed while cleaning that the aluminum coating would actually lift off and seem like...

    HD Speed Topping Question

I applied Speed/Poxy roughly 5 moths ago on my SUV. Endured a nice salt ridden winter and is still beading water up nicely.

    HD Speed topped with CQuartz

Ohhh boy! There has been a lot of people lately asking questions about topping an AIO with a coating. The answer is, NO. Maybe this is why some products require detailers to be certified installers.
