    1974 Jaguar E-Type

Thank you everyone. I try to be very careful with inspections, but I missed some stuff on initial inspection on this one, but luckily, caught them before it was too late. I'm sure I'll have more cars like this coming from this owner, so I'll be able to show him what really can be done. Hump...

    2008 Corvette Z06 Black beauty

That was all done with a Porter Cable 7424XP and Griots 3", all using Lake country flat pads. for the 3" I usually use one step more aggressive of a pad than I do with the PC.

    1974 Jaguar E-Type

Thanks Everyone, It was nice working on such a beautiful classic, but neither I, nor the customer were "happy", but rather content with the results given the situation. I don't have a paint thickness gauge, yet, but judging by the thin spots I saw, and the spots where I could see darker paint...

    2008 Corvette Z06 Black beauty

:hungry: Roughly 11 hours It is parked outside, I'm not sure of the arrangements, but I'm sure, whatever it was, the Nu-Finish wasn't helping matters any. The owner was kinda embarrassed at the state that he had let it get to, since he bought it, but I think now, he will take better care...

    2008 Corvette Z06 Black beauty

I'm not sure what changed, but I found the paint on a Torch Red C5 Z06 to be pretty hard. This paint was more along the lines of the Nissan's I have done, and was a joy to work with. I was going to go at it with a more aggressive combo because of my experience with Vette paint, but I did a quick...

Nice! Do you have a preference for muscle cars, or is that just what you've decided to post. Awesome post, and digging all of the fat tire drag cars, and the Trans-Am at the end. You did the Bandit proud.

    2008 Corvette Z06 Black beauty

This car was brought to me for a winter storage prep, and bringing the paint back to where it was when he bought it. He had been being pretty careful, by using the 2BM, but no Grit Guards, and I don't know what kind of soap, wash procedure, drying procedure, but I know he was using Nu-Finish wax...

    Love CquartzUK, done with Reload

from personal experience, Silo seal is nothing like Reload, old or new(2014v1) formula. Initial gloss and slickness are on a whole different level, but durability is only about 2 months max in normal conditions whereas old reload is ~4 months, and new v1 is ~6 months.

Nice little barn find, really enjoyed working with this one...

That's pretty badass. Crazy seeing those raced nowadays. Lime Rock had an even called the Festival of Classics, and it was an awesome experience seeing and hearing those machines brought to life.

    1974 Jaguar E-Type

I was contacted to do a detail on this '74 E-Type by a friend of a friend. He had a full restoration done on it, and the painter had left the paint looking TERRIBLE! I originally inspected the car, and within about 15 seconds of walking up to it, found a spot where the painter has used an...

Lamborghini Diablo VT pre-sale enhancement detail

I was gonna say something about the flat tire, but then I continued reading. I wanted one of these as a kid, but that color really shows the lines, and I think I'll set my dreams elsewhere. Amazing work though, that car was dull and bleh before, and it really popped when you got done.

Initial Impression: Menzerna 3n1 All in One

Mike, Awesome review! I need to get some of that stuff at some point. May I ask, and don't take this as a criticism, but I still see sanding marks to the bottom right and right of each of the cured pictures, am I seeing things, or is that the case? Still a huge improvement, just curious about...

    R32 GTR skyline | zero orange peel project : 100 hours detail/body |

Wow, it kept wanting to fight back every step of the way, but the finish is unreal, The clarity of the reflections make it almost look like the car is invisible! Love it!

Do you have a roof rack on your car?

I had one, but after I got to CT, I took it off. I can fit all my stuff in my wagon, no need to increase drag with a rack.
