recommend the product or products best suited for my situation?

Hey one more PNS note... if you go that direction, go really light with the product. You can find some videos online. I recommended it to a buddy and he used it like a liquid sealant and he had a lot of problems with it. You really have to go light and removed pretty quickly. Sent from my...

recommend the product or products best suited for my situation?

Another versatile polish is Optimum HyperPolish. It also provides different levels of cut based on the pad you use, and has zero dusting. I use it for just about everything short of totally jacked paint. Then I turn to Sonax CutMax. For sealant I am really big on Sonax PNS these days. It’s...

Does everyone really need a $100+ DA buffer?

I got a the cheapest Torq originally, and I hated it. So I swapped for a G6, and I love it. I think a good tool makes all the difference, and I’m a total novice. I would not cheap out on the buffer. If you think about it, the 60 or 80 more you spend on the buffer is pretty minor compared to how...

    Optimum Hyper Polish and Pads

Good choice in OHP. In my experience, it works great with everything from a white pad (for light polish) to a microfiber cutting pad (for pretty serious correction). Orange is a nice middle ground. I use LC, Sonax, Megs and B&S... they all work fine. Sent from my iPhone using AGOnline

Should I be looking at a sealant, wax, or coating for PPF? I don't want to have to polish off in the future.

Re PNS wipe off... if you go light, it’s no problem. It’s REALLY hard to wipe off if you use too much. Sent from my iPhone using AGOnline

Can I polish this level of oxidation?

Thanks all. Yeah the cracking is only in the front corners where the oxidation isn’t too bad. I’ll explain the risks to my nephew and go from there. Funny that you mention optimum car wax Mike. I got the same nephew a bottle of optimum for his last car which he proceeded to crash almost...

Can I polish this level of oxidation?

This is the hood of my nephew’s new pickup... 199x Ford Ranger. Any idea how this will respond to polishing? Can I get it looking better, or will I do more damage? The paint and/or clearcoat is cracking in the corners as well. Sent from my iPhone using AGOnline

Oldie but goodie: Pinnacle Souveran spray wax

Oh I never considered the gallon. I’ll check it out. I’m on a PNS/BSD kick right now. I mix the BSD about 4:1 with QD and I basically never wash my car due to covid, so I’ll probably have this bottle for like a year. [emoji3] Sent from my iPhone using AGOnline

Oldie but goodie: Pinnacle Souveran spray wax

Totally agree. I ran out a while ago, and it’s just more $ than I’m willing to spend, but it’s the most forgiving and best looking spray wax I have ever used. Just wish it didn’t cost so much! Sent from my iPhone using AGOnline

Should I be looking at a sealant, wax, or coating for PPF? I don't want to have to polish off in the future.

PNS should be the first layer. It sticks like glue. I think it looks really good alone, but I like to add toppers over it. I recently put a layer of carnuba over it and it probably added some gloss. I have only tried the Mothers CMX spray coating. I was not impressed, but I didn’t prep the...

Should I be looking at a sealant, wax, or coating for PPF? I don't want to have to polish off in the future.

I use Sonax PNS on my car including the PPF sections. It’s very easy to use and meets your criteria. There are many spray on / wipe off products that would as well. Sent from my iPhone using AGOnline

Who else is working from home now???

Congrats to the new babies. I’m in SF Bay Area and we are officially on lockdown. Don’t leave your house unless for food or medical. Only people who are directly related to business continuity can go to work. Pretty crazy. Anyone have any milk? Sent from my iPhone using AGOnline
