    squeeling rear wheel?

Im a novice for sure. I try to do what I can, of which includes exhaust work, belts, oil, and suspension. All of which I have done myself. Im more frustrated I guess. I would be comfortable extracting the bolt, its not cross threaded. I don't own a kit and would have to buy one. To me, the...

    squeeling rear wheel?

Well ####. Torque wrench snapped the caliper bolt! I checked the manual for proper torque settings and for whatever reason, the bolt snapped before the torque wrench clicked... Guess Im getting my car towed to the mechanics now. Sheesh what rotten luck.. Very aggravating to say the least. I...

    squeeling rear wheel?

No, the rotor is grooved on the front facing side. You just cant see in the picture.. I will check for a taper, didn't think of that. brb.. EDIT: Really hard to tell due to the head shield covering the back, if its grooved or not. Cant see a taper either. At this point, I am going to put...

    squeeling rear wheel?

Just to get a better view. Not necessarily take it off, just take out one bolt and loosen the other so I could rotate it off rotor. I am aware of the peep hole and I could see the pad, but since it looked like a bit of pad was left, I wanted a better view. Anyways I broke the note loose with...

    squeeling rear wheel?

No cv boot(fwd). Was a little wobble, but I attributed that to me loosening the lug nuts(will check when I put the wheel back on). So far Im at a standstill. Im using my brothers matco impact gun at full torque and I cannot get the top caliper bolt out. No easy way I could find to get to it so I...

    squeeling rear wheel?

Took wheel off. Brake pads have lots of life left, wear indicators are miles from the rotor(unless I am looking at the wrong thing.). At this point Im gonna take it to my mechanic and have him diagnose for me I think. If he says its the brakes. I will DIY it for learning purposes, otherwise I...

    squeeling rear wheel?

Well I think I definitely did the brakes in now. I took my car to the local bi weekly drag race and now it squeaks at 40+ and some on the highway. Much more obnoxious at low speeds now as well. Its still doing the thing though where if I turn left it gets bad (steer left making the car roll...

    squeeling rear wheel?

I live inland so the air is now salty at all. Strange that the rear would go out first.. Hard to tell though because I have not done the brakes since I bought the car. So I really do not know for sure the condition of the pads or rotors when I got it. They claimed all 4 were done, but who knows.

    squeeling rear wheel?

Some more information.. Still doing the same thing and it seems to slowly getting worse. Also of interest I noticed when cruising slow around 15 is that if I jerk the car left making the car role right it gets way worse for that split second of body role. It also seems to have progressed where...

    squeeling rear wheel?

Might be a dumb question but will I have to pull the pad to check that? Its funny as I was planning to do my first brake job (pads and rotors) in the coming weeks and then this issue sprung up by chance. Was going to tackle it in probably the next two weeks.

Wonder why Autogeeks don't want dealers washing your new vehicle? LOOK at THIS! #Ooops

lol. my local Nissan dealer is even worse. For some reason the first set of the vertical spinning brushes actually sits outside the building out in the elements uncovered. And when its not active, the lower strips drape on the asphalt.

    squeeling rear wheel?

Will do. Also as for the suspension, I installed new struts/shocks and new springs all around 1-1.5 years ago. I installed kyb excel-g and lowering springs.

    squeeling rear wheel?

Hey guys, My altima about 3 days ago began squeaking only from what sounds like the rear right wheel area. Its the type of squeal you hear when someones brakes are really bad, but its not obnoxiously loud. What is strange is it does occur even when the brake is not applied, and sometimes when...

    beater car suggestions?

Haha. I see we got a jalopnik reader here. :xyxthumbs: Most recent news is no news. Me and my bro decided we are going to look into renting a car for a day so we can learn stick. That was we can test drive the cars ourselves without relying on my buddy. He isn't really a car person, so I...

Long Term Review Spar vs Opti Pro **PICS**

This thread reminds of me opticoating my brothers faded headlights. I sanded off the old cc and applied OC 2.0 to both lights. For some reason it failed on one light as it yellowed within about 6 months, but the other is going on strong for the last few years and looks brand spanken new.

    beater car suggestions?

The explorer does look interesting. The countour not so much, I had to use the mercury equivalent when for when I was working on getting my license and my feet could not work the pedals right. They were too low and I had to actually use the metal bars for gas and break cause my normal size feet...
