Thanks. I cleaned the tires with optimum when I did my routine wash. So what is your go to cleaner? I like the tuf shine cleaner but don't use it every wash.

No concerns really...just know that washing new MF towels prior to first use is my routine and had never thought about the sponges before. Washing the towels I suppose will clean and "condition" them for use, and didn't know if the group treated sponges the same way.

Bought the 6 pack of MF sponges her on AG and plan to use them for a variety of applications in my car detailing. Do you wash these before first use? Like we do with MF towels?

I do scrub with APC and a brush, then proceed to use the Leather Master series of products...cleaner, vital, protect. I recommend you look at the vital product. It is a conditioner that "moisturizes" the leather. I realize the leather in our cars does not absorb much, but in my recent use...
