Is this hard or soft paint?

Assume it is very soft and do a test section to see if you need to use anything stronger

Has anyone tried diluting Optimum Protection Plus for interior dressing?

Fellipe, just noticed this after responding to your question on the Optimum forum. I am biased when it comes to Optimum products but whilst I like the Optimum dressing I am not sure it really stands out like some of the other products from the range. For me there are better alternatives which...

pH of Some Common Products Unveiled

Reading this thread reminds me of my failure to pay attention to chemistry lessons at school. So far, the only bit I understood was the mention of residue which I do think needs more discussions, plus the role of dwell time

How THICK could that coating possibly be?

Varying from the general instructions, there are a number of threads which talk about spraying Opti-coat. Apparently this will give a deeper layer of the coating, is it possible Optimum may be referencing this approach.

Onr + Iso Alcohol as Glass Cleaner?

I have used both methods for glass. ONR does a good job but for dirtier windows the IPA does help.

    Spray Waxes ?

I use OCW on damp paint and have done so for a couple of years. There might be a decrease in durability but it so far has not appeared to be significant. Last year my car was only washed 3 or 4 times. Each time OCW was used on slightly damp paint and the beading lasted just over 3 months...

OPC dilution ratio for quick interior wipe downs (dashes, door panels)?

I use OPC at roughly 5:1 or maybe a tad higher for interior cleaning. For very quick cleaning Optimum Opti-Clean is quite good

    Rotary tips for subaru paint?

Why not start with the least aggressive products first. If a mild polish can do the job there is no need for anything stronger. No point removing more paint than is necessary

    interior cleaner and interior protectant?

I use an APC for cleaning and then follow with Gtech C6 dressing. Alternatively I use the Optimum interior dressing.

Opticoat 2.0 discontinued, OptiCoat Pro sees price increase

This is certainly not the slickest launch of a new product. I have no problem with the removal of the word 'permanent' from the advertising, here in the UK we have strong consumer legislation and I suspect such a claim, if tested would not stand much scrutiny. A product which last 5 or even 10...

    Will OCW be hiding swirls?

Megs No7 would be the glaze I would try first. It really does work wonders on older paint.

    Which da for sore hands?

I seem to be very sensitive to vibrations and so moved from a DA to a cheap rotary. The difference was huge, now able to polish for long periods without any problems. No doubt expensive machines may be great and a rotary does take longer to learn to control but I have no regrets with my cheap...

    Menzerna SF4000 vs Gtechniq P1/P2

SRP = Autoglym Super Resin Polish. Gtech P1 is a good polish but the need to spritz the pad can be a tad frustrating. As with all polishing, the cooler the environment and the panel are, the easier it will be.

    Opti clay vs. Riccardo clay

I have used many clays over the years. Assuming they are all the same grade then I would suggest the difference is not huge

    OCW as a topper?

From my ageing memory the OCW UV filters pentrating the paint over time came from the independent testing. I am sure Chris Thomas or Dr G said this was not a feature which was designed into the product but more of a nice feature they discovered afterwards.

    Looking for suggestions: Car Wash

I have used Optimum's ONR for years without any problem. However if you fancy the Duragloss or anyone else's then just buy it. I do not use two buckets with ONR although some do. I would strongly suggest with any rinceless wash to pre-spray the paint with some of the shampoo before washing as...

    2014 Ram meets Bilt-Hamber

I must try their AIO one day although I must admit I still find my bottle of Autoglym SRP is going to be very hard to beat. I am really tempted by their cleaning fluid, alternative to IPA Clay Bar Pre-Treatment | Order Cleanser-Fluid Pre-Clay Bar Treatment. So far I have yet to be...

    2014 Ram meets Bilt-Hamber

The truck looks great. :xyxthumbs: Is the cleanser fluid the cleaning product or their AIO polish? I think Autobalm is a very interesting product although I agree with your findings, it is not as easy as many products in application. I have a feeling the Autobalm could be a really nice...

    ONR Wash Question.

Here is another variation from Optimum (Europe). The video starts off with Power Clean but ONR is used about one minute in [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SLdrhavb1D8]Optimum Power Clean, Dry and Seal in one step - YouTube[/video] I do think sometimes people can over analyse using a...
