Am I damaging my expensive waxes with ONR?

My wife went on holiday, amongst my many instructions was one which said I must water the house plants. By mistake I picked up the wrong bottle and sprayed QD strength ONR on all of them and poured the remaining liquid into some of the pots. Luckily for me, none of the plants seem to suffer in...

Am I damaging my expensive waxes with ONR?

Slightly off topic. It turns out you can spray indoor plants with ONR QD and not kill them. Not suggesting this should be tried by others but just in case anyone every wondered.....

Taking the plunge (large order)...Am I missing anything?

The Meguiars and Menzerna polishes will work in a slightly different way to each other. Both are good and will give great results. I prefer the versatility and simplicity of the Meguiars. There is a high degree of personal preference when choosing between two good brands like Megs and Menz so...

    DLux removal?

I have tried Dlux a few times on soft trim without any problem but the durability is much lower than on hard plastic, which is a rather long winded way of saying I have no idea what has caused your streaking. I would try an APC with a toothbrush or maybe one of the melemine foam (magic eraser)...

Car care products that can be used post sealant application

As much as I like the Flyby30 I have not had more than a couple of months before it has failed although it is very easy to reapply. Not tried the AF glass cleaner so cannot say from experience what will happen but it may reduce the durability of the CarPro by a bit. Only way to know is to try it

    After Optimum hyper compound.....

Sorry, I had misread your response. It is a very nice product though and a genuine alternative to the (rather good) Megs 205.

    GTechniq P1 Nano Composite Polish

I found P1 works best on wool pads. P1 will dust quite quickly and will require a quick spritz of water to keep polishing. It can be a bit messy although as a water based polish it can be easily cleaned with a damp cloth

    Optimum Poli Seal finishes well?

I think Optimum have said GPS will offer more cut than poliseal although both will be very mild

    After Optimum hyper compound.....

Assuming the paint is not very soft you may find the Hyper Polish would work very well without the need for a Menz finishing polish. I would do a quick test to see if the difference is noticeable

    Rust Prevention Product?

I really have no idea if this is available to you and at the risk of talking about a product you may not be able to buy I will suggest the Bilt Hamber range. I recently found this independent test of their underbody wax http://www.bilthamber.com/media/downloads/32/PG-BH13-001.pdf

Why are WOWA Sealants not popular?

Maybe it helps that my environment is very moderate but on the other hand I do not have a garage and so it is exposed to the elements 24/7.

Why are WOWA Sealants not popular?

I get just over 4 months with Optiseal. Just to pick up on the point made by FUNX725, I find GPS also improves the look of Optiseal.

Need Compound & Polish votes and advice

To my mind the Megs 101 is a really impressive product which finishes down incredibly well for a compound. I also agree with the comments regarding Optimum polishes, we should hear more about these. The really great thing about all these modern polishes and pads is just how much they flatter...

Which rotary pads are you using?

My favorite pads for the rotary are the 3M ones. They feel much softer than something like the ever popular Hexlogic pads but are slightly less sensitive to the angle of the rotary and just seem to make the process slightly easier

    GG Glass Polish

The Autoglym glass polish is one of my favourites, chemical cleaners with some very mild abrasives. Nowhere near the power of Ceriglass but it is not designed to be. Works very well by hand or machine. The new version says it can reduce internal fogging but it is not really that good. As a...

    Coatings...how many available today?

From a European perspective it feels as if every month we get a new coating or some other fancy products but no doubt there is many more products to come from the Pacific region

Improving IPA solution for LSP prep

I have used IPA with ONR without any problems and just as an aside it also works very well as a DIY glass cleaner. As said above, I would not try this mixture if using a coating but for any sealant which has solvents, these will remove any trace of ONR. Sometime ago I tried removing various...

    Optimum Hyper Polish

Seems curious that some have a problem with OHP, it always struck me how easy it was to remove and I think this was one of the selling features by Optimum. On the other hand Optimum say the new polish has a longer working time but the original product was not really lacking in this area. Still...

    Your experiences with this cleaner.

I think this has mild cleaning abilities so if the leather is in good shape it might be fine. As above, a good clean first will make a big difference before applying something like the Optimum dressing
