Beginning scratches from rinse less wash...

How bad? Isn't minor damage to be expected when rinseless washing? The lubricants in the solution help, but there are limitations of physics. Any way you slice it, you are scratching the paint whenever you touch it with wash media or a towel.

So Who can tell me what happened here? Pictures ... its pretty bad.

During my "degreaser is good for everything" phase, I did the same thing on my own vehicle. Also, I smeared up all the labels on the window switches lol. That's how I learned about using full strength degreaser inside a vehicle.

Interior Detailing - 2 Tips and 2 Tools - SCANGRIP I-View and Tornador ZV-240 Velocity Vac Dry by Mike Phillips

I would love to see how the tornador performs on the rolling landfills that so many detailers have to deal with. Can it get dog fur and sand out of crappy carpet? I can't imagine all the hours and aches that would alleviate.

Why am I so bad at cleaning wheels?

Alright screw it, bring on the wheel cleaner. Why choose a non-acid wheel cleaner vs. an acid one?

Why am I so bad at cleaning wheels?

Everyone on the internet makes it look so easy. My process for painted/clear-coated wheels: Foam cannon + pressure rinse Heavy spray Iron-x, agitate with speedmaster brush, rinse Heavy spray Meg's APC, agitate with brush, rinse WHEELS STILL FULL OF DIRT - clean literally every square...

Ever thrown out or given away most of your stuff and start again?

I need to get rid of some stuff for sure. I have some products that have been sitting on a shelf for years and I can't even remember why I bought them in the first place. Why did I ever buy two bottles of petroleum based tire dressing?

    Nanoskin vs clay bar

Is there any objective way to test? I have both and like how fast and easy the nanoskin is, but when I really want to go to town on a panel (and have the time), I still reach for clay.

2010 Camaro Optimum Gloss Coat New Formula

So disappointing. I guess this is how they manipulate the market and justify the huge price tag for opticoat now.

Have you ever felt so defeated during a detail?

Fine white dog fur woven into velcro-like carpet. I bought at least one of every dog fur tool ever mentioned here. Rubber brushes, gloves, pumice, etc. I still only got maybe 80% of it after a full day of trying. Few weeks later it was just as bad anyway lol. I gave up. No regrets!

Which brands are you most loyal to?

lol I would put them at the opposite end of the spectrum. I admit I like the honeydew snow foam, but the rest of their stuff is so heavily slathered in cheesy marketing. I'm sure it's good for their bottom line, though.
