One thing I try to do is have my orders ship at the end of the week. That way, they spend the week-end in a truck in a warmer climate. They deliver during the following week so they don't spend a lot of time in frigid temps.

I actually used a safety razor. I trimmed as much of the burn area away as I could without getting into the undamaged seat fibers. I also used a fabric cement from a fabric store rather than super glue.

Depending on the vehicle, it is sometimes possible to get the fill in fuzz from the carpet. The advantage being that you can get the material form under a seat. Like Lasthope05 says, it isn't perfect, but it does make a defect much less noticeable.

Matt: Weren't you using the Cobra Bone for washing? Maybe that was with rinseless washes rather than conventional. :confused:

For wash media, I have used a sheepskin mitt, cotton chenille mitt, cotton chenille covered sponge, sea sponge, grout sponge, the Cobra Bone MF covered sponge, and they all seem to work fine for the body/windows. Basically, any wash media you would use for conventional washing should be fine...

In Iowa, this will get you a lot of ice on the driveway. :) That's the reason I go to the DIY wash for getting the caked on dirt/salt/sand off.

Maybe most, but not all. The four service/repair facilities I use have several guys that really take an interest in taking care of a nice car. Mine are clean outside, inside, and under the hood when I take them in and they are returned the same way.

My $35 Timex is about 10+ years old and the case and band still look great. A new battery once a year and it just keeps on ticking/humming. I do have to reset the time a couple of times a year. Once when DST goes in effect and once when it goes off. Seriously, a nice watch probably deserves...

FWIW, I have read that the dilution ratio for ONR as a quick detailer has been changed to 8 parts water and 1 part ONR. There was a post on AGOL with that information in it.
