    No Rinses: Light Duty Only?

Like any product, the user controls a lot of things. Some people can wax/seal a vehicle with less than an ounce of product, others use several ounces. I don't use foam cannons or do a pre-rinse. Like others, I do go to the DIY spray wash and knock off any caked mud & salt residue in the winter...

    What went wrong?

Are those scratches? It's hard for me to tell from the pictures, but it almost looks like clearcoat failure.

    No Rinses: Light Duty Only?

I've never really pushed the limits of rinseless washing. When the vehicles have caked mud and salt residue from winter driving, I hit the DIY spray wash first. It may not be truly necessary, but I definitely feel more comfortable doing it that way. From your description, chances are your 100...

LSP: Tried many - I just don't see a difference!!!

You lost me there. :) Same results from the $20 wax, but you're going to continue buying $50 waxes. Do you have some reason behind that decision?

LSP: Tried many - I just don't see a difference!!!

You figured it out quicker than many of us. :D When using good products and boy there sure is a lot of them, it is often said that it is 90% process and 10% product. If you are happy with the results, that's all that matters. :xyxthumbs: I saw a signature line a short time back that was...

Review of many Poorboy's product, Natty Red Vs. Blue

This is kind of surprising to me. I have been using the S&W for six/seven years, (gallons of the stuff), and have never had a white streak left by the product. The closest to that would be some smearing in cold, humid weather that required extra wiping passes to remove. GM, Honda, Ford, VW, 20+...

    Rinseless washing in the cold?

Hopefully, I will be able to continue to heat my garage with my kerosene heater, but my kerosene source isn't available right now. I can still buy it at Menard's for about twice the price I was paying, but....... My heater says it will burn diesel fuel, but I think the odor would probably be...

    ?? Which Collinite product??

Since I rarely go more than 4 to 6 weeks without waxing/sealing, I can't vouch for durability, but...... Having used both 845 and 476, the application and removal winner was definitely the 845. The 476 was enough of a PIA that I gave it away after using it a few times. Might have been operator...

    Rinseless washing in the cold?

Thanks. If the solution will freeze in the bucket, it's probably going to freeze on the vehicle. I'm thinking of temperatures at least above freezing. I probably wouldn't use one, but if you are serious about keeping the water warm, bucket heaters are used for livestock water buckets and they...

    Rinseless washing in the cold?

LOL Thanks. I already use hot water year round. It not only is more comfortable, (to me), I also think it does a better job of cleaning.

    Rinseless washing in the cold?

Anyone have comments on their results when using rinseless washes in a cold ambient on a cold vehicle? I have used them a lot in cold weather, but the washing was always done in my garage with heat and the temperature has always been in the 60+ range. What happens if the temperature is in the...

    Wax over Opti-Seal

Just my opinion, but I think it would be tough to improve on the look of Opti-Seal that was applied on a well prepped surface. I do quite often use Aqua Wax when I do a rinseless wash. I guess that is waxing over Opti-Seal, but I don't do it to improve the look of the Opti-Seal, but rather to...

    DP Rinseless Wash and Gloss

That could almost substitute for my thoughts. :) Throw in QEW as another rinseless wash that works fine, take out the QD and window cleaner references and I echo your thoughts. I was not at all impressed with either product as a QD and I don't think I would ever replace my Meguiar's Detailer...

It would be interesting to hear your impressions on the two products as rinseless washes.

Two "Must Have" Car Washing Tools - The Brass Shut-off Valve & Brass Quick Connector

Two things. 1. Obviously the hose size can affect the pressure as can the hose length. 2. What many people don't realize is that shut-off valves and quick connects also can have different internal sizes. I don't know if it varies by price or not. I just look for the ones with the biggest hole...

Two "Must Have" Car Washing Tools - The Brass Shut-off Valve & Brass Quick Connector

Two things I don't have. :) I do use shut-off valves and quick connectors, but I use plastic ones so there is less chance of dinging my paint in case I should happen to let things get away from me. That has never happened, but that just means it's waiting to happen some day.

    Favorite all in one/APC?

Keep in mind that I'm a hobby detailer and don't get involved with really nasty vehicles. Meguiar's APC does a lot of things for me, but it might not do the same job for others. Some of the places I can and do use it, at least occasionally would be: Carpet and carpeted mats - Spray on, agitate...

    Klasse ALIO and Klasse Glaze

Now it seems we are in to semantics. :) I can only say this: If I picked up a bottle of KAIO in a store and read that label, I would certainly be expecting the paint to be protected. My experience with KAIO durability or lack thereof has nothing to do with beading. After 3 weeks, the shine was...

    Favorite all in one/APC?

Does anyone here like Meguiar's APC or APC+?     Talk about popular. Meguiar's will probably raise the price now. :D
