Good store to buy car battery

With most "normal" car batteries, you're paying for the length of the warranty (time and/or pro-rate). I prefer East Penn made batteries, and get mine at NAPA. If it goes bad early, there are nationwide NAPA stores that will exchange it.

What did you do today non-detailing related?

Gave some thought (and thanks) to the insanely brave folks who stormed those French beaches 78 years ago.

The Post a Picture of Your Ride as it Sits Thread

Mental health is no joke, and hopefully no longer the stigma it used to be. It took me a long time to be able to admit we all need help/support from time to time and nothing wrong bringing it up in front of a group you feel comfortable with. Good luck with the new car! Their styling direction...

Your thoughts on vehicle service maintenance

And I am certainly not doubting your personal experiences! Can't go wrong with OEM filters, and I guess that's why we all have our preferred brands. :xyxthumbs:

Your thoughts on vehicle service maintenance

Yep! And, most of the times those intervals are set by sales and marketing - as they can advertise a lower cost of ownership compared to the competition.

Your thoughts on vehicle service maintenance

Most excellent post - and IMHO right on the money. The only thing I would change is Napa Gold filters are made by Wix (at least for my applications), and are at the higher end of consumer filters... Dealers have their place, along with the factory trained techs. Oh, one other thing I would...

Your thoughts on vehicle service maintenance

All depends on where the drain plug is in relationship to the oil pan. Change the oil regularly and that little bit left won't matter. You could also pour a little fresh oil in the top once it stops draining, and wait until the clean oil starts flowing...

    Show us your pet.

Ha - her nickname is Hissy-Fit. She tries to keep the other two, along with my wife, in-line. She's all hiss though, no bite. This is about two weeks after she was picked up on the mean streets in 2014... she was quite feisty back then, too. lol

    Inside Griot's Garage

Many things old are new again. The first gasoline-electric hybrid was created in 1898 (Lohner-Porsche).

 But, EcoTech is just as marketing-ey, and way less specific. Bringing this back around to the topic... marketing is what it is. Companies, no matter what they say or how they position themselves, are in business to make money. That isn’t a bad thing, as they use the money to employ...

I hear ya - but car manufacturers have been naming engines for a long time. At the risk of dating myself: Rocket, Turbojet (without a turbocharger), Thunderjet, Cobrajet, Iron Duke, Super Duty, Hemi, Cammer…

    Price Increases for 2022

Typical modern day republican - project, deflect and divert. If you're talking to me, try facts and not rhetoric. Tell me where I am not correct in my post above... Oh, and I am socially and financially conservative, like the GOP used to be.

    Price Increases for 2022

Riiiiight - because the previous guy didn't spend trillions, raise the debt after promising to get rid of it, give tax breaks to those that didn't really need it, and personally sign Covid stimulus checks... and maybe, just maybe, if one side wasn't actively working on making the situation worse...

A beautiful Candy Apple Red '67 Mustang GT is a really nice way to start the day. :-) Many moons ago I was intimately familiar with a friend's 'concours correct" 390 GT, with a 428...
