Bwahahaha - if you only knew how funny your comment is. The car has gone through a few wheel and tire combinations over the years, always whitewalls or when I could, raised white letters... and my Dad always went back to the whitewalls the next time. Something about growing up in the 50's. lol...

3:42 gears - was the only set available with the Stage-1 option. And yes, 700R4. Most go for the 200 4R, but the lower 1st gear of the 700 helps as the car weighs 4200+ pounds, before my chubby butt gets in it.

A 4-speed would have made it one of 92. Almost as rare as Buick fans it seems :D My folks ordered it with a trailer hitch, as it towed a boat for the first 10 years... and was my Mom's daily-driver for 20+ years. I even took my driver's license test with it. Um, stock-ish? I built the engine...

Of course, and yes, it's one of 728. My parents bought it new... here it is a few years (and a few states) ago.

    Show us your pet.

That's the acceptable kind of "failure" :dblthumb2: And that look says he knows he landed in the right place!

Choices / Decisions - Black Single Stage Paint

Thank you @2black1s - I too have a black HD, but sitting it doesn't need much sitting in the garage :-/ And @dk95 - thanks for the info on the Ultimate Polish and M21. I've been around and around with the claimed cutting levels with Meguiar's, from the arrows on the bottle to web descriptions...

Choices / Decisions - Black Single Stage Paint

A little bump... as the posting was delayed and fell to the second page. Also, upon further review, I think I'll skip the Correcting Cream or Ultra Pro Finishing Polishing step. Both the Finishing Sealant and Mirror Glaze Synthetic Sealant 2.0 appear to have more cut than I originally thought...

Choices / Decisions - Black Single Stage Paint

I’ve been lurking, reading, learning and other “ings” here for a while as I do research. I know I am overthinking my project, hence this long post, but wanted to get a few opinions on my thought process/approach before I tackle it. My black Buick GS was repainted with single stage...

    Need help? Soldering?

Should be easy enough. Make sure you get both sides clean and then use a rosin core solder, with or without lead.

1/4 NPT Quick Disconnects for Air Hose

I don't think you can wrong with Milton. I have a bunch of them (air hose reel, air tools, bead-blast cabinet) and don't have any complaints.

    Atlantonian Greetings

Thanks again! And while I am naturally a bit biased, I have to agree :dblthumb2: Although, I wouldn't kick a '67 Shelby or GT Fastback out of the garage, either. :D
