2017 Audi RS7 Detail - 1 Step Paint Correction and Coated with Gtechniq CSL

Outstanding work. Very impressed by how well it turned out for a one step and the finishing ability of such an aggressive compound.

Black Honda Odyssey - big PITA - corrected and coated

Looks great! We have one of these at home as well but in Silver. My wife wanted black but I knew with the abuse it would take hauling our kids around I'd be out in the garage every day working on it (I would've been fine with that - my wife not so much). The first day we brought it home I gave...

Using A Ceramic Coating AND a Sealant?

I'd say go for it. I'd highly doubt that you'll see a visual difference in the areas with the coating vs. the sealant (except for a little more dirt resistance on the coating sections). I have so many LSPs that I like to mix it up as well. Right now, I've got Fuzion Spray Wax on the drivers side...

    Maintaining my wax job

To the OP, you might want to just go ahead and invest in a gallon of the Pinnacle Crystal Must Detail spray while the Labor Day sale is going on. It's a never ending battle and you'll just have to stay on top of it to maintain that freshly waxed look.

    Sealant over top of wax?

    McKee's Wheel Coating - Prep?

I'd say with the Sonax then claybar you'll be in great shape. After claying I'd give it an IPA wipedown just to ensure they're squeaky clean before coating.

porter cable vs harbor freight da?

Call Ray at Autopia. Many times they have open box deals. I've seen them over there for around $75 in the past if I recall.

    Trying/choosing new car shampoos

I just bought a 64 oz jug of Wolfgang Auto Bathe while it's way on sale. Anxious to use it this weekend. It smells incredible (like bubble gum).

Full paint correction in 5 hours on S-M size cars??

I can totally see that with a rotary (if he's skilled and not a hack) doing a multi step correction with a good, shorter working time compound & polish like the AAT twins. But you mentioned he has a video showing him with a PC. Still, I could very easily see someone doing a one step with Menz...

Menzerna 3800 vs Pinnacle Paintwork Cleansing Lotion vs Pinnacle Black Label Surface Cleansing Polish

I'm not sure if you have to remove the polishing oils, but I always do especially if I'm using Menzerna compounds/polishes because they are so oily. But, like a previous poster, I use Carpo Eraser and give the car a good wipedown. I figure I'm always better served to get the paint as clean as...

One product you couldn't live without?

Probably Wolfgang Uber. Use it daily whether for WW, QD, clay lube or rinseless. Not sure how I lived without it before it was introduced.

New ride for me: Lexus GS350 F Sport

I've been using Optimum Leather Protectant and really like it. I find it good for regular maintenance cleaning adding some protection. Great for newer condition leather like you have. Not sure how long the protection lasts but find it great for regular cleaning on a monthly basis

    Car Wash Sponge Recommendations?

I use grout sponges from HD or Lowes on my wheels. Mitts for everything else. Although I have used the synthetic sheepskin pads and I like the fact they seem to hold suds better. The problem is they are always lots of little pieces of debris that gets stuck in there and I feel like I'm spending...

Tuf Shine Tire Clear Coat - good applicator?

I have the Carrand brush. It works well for spreading gels and getting into all crevices. I will say it's kind of awkward getting the gel on the brush. It seeps down into the strands and usually winds up on my hands. Can't seem to get that part down yet.

    Good Leather Cleaner and Protectant?

+1. This all I've been using lately on leather seats and even dashboards. Good smell, good cleaning and nice matte finish left behind.

Griots PFM towel - any difference between the two sizes?

In general I prefer smaller towels for drying (16 x 16). Much easier to handle. I only use the big towels for the roofs of SUVs or Minivans where I can toss the towel across the roof and pull it to grab the water.

    Post Your Unpacking Pictures

I like Gyeon Tire. Leaves a really nice finish and holds up through a few washes. I tend to prefer water based dressings for ease of application but Gyeon Tire is pretty darn easy.

    GYEON Car Care

Doesn't TAC Systems manufacture both Carpro and Gyeon products? Or maybe at least they did. Lots of similarities in products between all three product lines.
