    Rubber Floot mat Maitenance

I've used Meguiar's Hyper Dressing diluted 50/50 on our rubber floor mats and it looked ok. Honestly, I don't care if the rubber mats look a little greyish. As long as their CLEAN and free from dirt and debris thats all that matters to me. If you want to dress yours, check out this video...

Can Coat EVO v Sonax CC36 v Meguiars HPC

No that is false. HPC has a chemical scent. Its not a horrible smell but I surely wouldn't categorize it as pleasant.

Can Coat Evo application curiosity question

I used the included Gyeon white MF towel for initial wipeoff and then a TRC Gauntlet towel for final buff. Initially I was using brand new low nap TRC All Purpose MF towels for final buff but they linted bad because of the slightly grabby nature of Cancoat. So I switched to the softer Gauntlet...

Can Coat EVO v Sonax CC36 v Meguiars HPC

I would choose Cancoat too if I lived in AUS with those crazy prices. Makes sense why other regions of the world with access to Meguiar's may overlook it.

Can Coat EVO v Sonax CC36 v Meguiars HPC

I will say this though, I've used both Meguiar's HPC and Cancoat Evo and the Megs hands down is far easier and more enjoyable to use. There is no urgency for quick removal or fear of hard wipeoff like Cancoat Evo. HPC is a HUGE sleeper in the detailing community. The level of slickness is off...

Can Coat EVO v Sonax CC36 v Meguiars HPC

I watched the video and I do like his format and commentary. The problem I have is his skewed conclusions based on the products chemical resistance. I don't know about you all but I've had just about enough of these chemical resistance product evaluations. This has run its course. Its' been...

Can Coat Evo application curiosity question

I think both humidity and over saturation on the pad may have been the culprit. The carriers still left on the paint and not evaporating quick enough will cause some tackiness during wipeoff. I used Cancoat Evo for the first time this past weekend. My garage was warm and humid. And I also used...

How often do you wash - what about LSP degradation

Still involves wiping of the paint so I would say no.

How often do you wash - what about LSP degradation

I believe there is a STRONG correlation with contact washing and wax/sealant durability. That physical part that occurs through hand washing, towel drying and towel buffing or anything where some sort of abrasion occurs on the surface of the paint, no matter how soft the towel is, or how light...

How often do you wash - what about LSP degradation

YIKES! 2x within a 7 day period? Does the paint really merit a full cleaning that frequently? Especially with such an aggressive soap.

    3D Super Citrus as prewash??

So far so good on my Sierra with Megs HPC. Next week it will be 2 months old and water behavior is still insane. Parked outside 24-7, near trees. NO TOPPERS. Wifes Durango though will get Cancoat Evo next month. Chicago winter will put both to the test.

    3D Super Citrus as prewash??

I'd skip the pre-wash if it were me. Assuming this is your personal vehicle and you regularly maintain it, that pre-wash isn't going to do anything to the paint that your Griots polish can't remove.

    Cancoat Evo vs Carpro Lite

I'll be using this combo (Primer + Cancoat Evo) for the first time this weekend when I detail the neighbors Impala. They only take their cars through touchless carwashes so it'll be interesting to see how it holds up to the high ph soaps for the next 9 months, until its Spring detail.

Which detail sprays have you used that look greasy? Never seen that before.

Wolfgang Über SiO2 Silica Spray as a drying aid?

I agree. The Sio2 Silica Spray is a RTU form of durable protection, not really formulated as a QD. I don't think its gonna hurt if you use it as a drying aid for every wash but it sorta is the wrong tool for the job. An expensive one at that! Diluting in HALF without knowing how concentrated it...

    Soap Cleaning Power

Sorry but you are completely 100% incorrect. Sudsing or "bubbles" have ZERO to do with cleaning. This is a fact known within the established detailing community and by the car care chemical companies. In fact more than handful of care care companies have publicly stated this. This is why its...
