Where were you on Sept 11 2001?

I was an American Airlines flight attendant on my days off, anxiously awaiting to hear the names of my fallen fellow employees to see if I knew them. How much my situation has changed since then!

Gonna Vent a Little! About my Mytee HP60 Purchase-

AG does not sell the HP60 which is weird because a lot of us on here are mobile and/or weekend detailers and this machine is better for us than the HP100, since the HP100 is more for the fixed location detail shop. I did have an issue with shipping times as well with the company that i bought...

    Anyone detail a limo before?

Have you done this before, and just curious what was the reaction of the customer? I am wondering because if I owned a limo and you couldn't handle the interior, I would definitely go to a business that would provide a full service detail. Interiors are just as importain to be spotless as the...

    Be seen ,what car?

+1 for the ford transit...... I think it is the perfect vehicle for mobile detailers. And i would definitely start to carry your own water and electricity. That is truly taking it to the next level and makes you step ahead of everybody else. if you start bringing in more business there are...

Need advice on storing a car for 3-4 years?

Are you in the military? Everything looks good, only thing I would be careful of is keeping the car jacked up. You don't want to keep the suspension hanging if you support the car by the frame. that will mess up the springs. One thing to consider is to replace the tires when you get home...

What carpet extractor should I get? Around $1k

I do my whole house with it as well and I do like the fact that that it has a 3 gallon tank. I find that useful for large suvs and vans.

What carpet extractor should I get? Around $1k

I don't think it is taller but it is wider and heavier (not sure the exact specs). You are set on power since you have 5000 watts. If you have the room then I would definitely get it, it is good machine that does a great job on nasty carpets (mini-vans!)

What carpet extractor should I get? Around $1k

I have an hp60 and it is a great choice. However it is BIG so if you are mobile that could be an issue, ALSO.....you have to supply your own power (3000 watts) because if you use a customers power you will have a never ending battle with blowing their circuits because it is a power hog! I will...

Normal psi for standard water hose?

Why don't you get a 12volt on demand pump from sureflo? this way it is independent from any generator so you don't need to run the generator while you wash the car, it runs off your car battery. That is the way I have it set up and it works awesome...

customer wants a one year sealant warrantied

Do you manufacture the product? If not then the warranty would be between the customer and the manufactures claim of protection. All that you do is apply their product and you can guarentee the product was applied correctly! Don't open this can of worms! There are too many variables with this...

When are you considered a business?

LMFAO and asking for the required donation never ends! It doesn't take much to set up a business checking, so if you plan on using the business name then why not make it legit?

When are you considered a business?

if you have a business name then you are a business! Get your business registered with the county/state and open a checking account so you can cash the check. I have a free business checking account at harris bank. And whether you are a business or not you always are supposed to claim the...

    Help with some prices!

Are you mobile or do you plan on your customers coming to you? The reason I ask is because it doesn't make much sense to drive to a customer to make $15 for a car wash. Your drive time, gas, meeting with the customer, setting up for a wash, and driving home simply doesn't make any sense for...

    Flyer and mobile insurance

My question is are you really going to drive to someones house that wants a car wash and seriously only get $12? seriously just think about that, is it even worth it? Maybe a neighbor but to spend your time to drive across town is not worth it.

    Tire and Wheel Detailers

IMO there is No such thing as a good spray and rinse. I use an APC for the rims (bad ones get megs wheel brightener) APC for the wheel wells and usually belch-white for the tires, all require some type of scrubbing or agitation. Takes about 5 minutes per wheel (Tires, rims, and wheel well) For...
