    More picture stealing....

My detailing business is still super small. One person (me), one vehicle, 1 tool chest and a crate full of products. I take my own pictures (for better or worse) and they're not great but illustrate to the average customer that I do good work. My wife on the other hand has a small baking...

Great save on this one. Nothing worse than a smell that keeps on giving. This one could have been a disaster.

    Escalade that was a mess.

Anytime. I used to do it all by hand as well and still do on occasion if a customer asks. Naturally the price jumps when I do, but hey, if that's what the customer asks for, that's what they get. Only reason I have the gear is that it was all bought during a sale and I had just done a pair of...

    Escalade that was a mess.

This job is a couple of months old, but wanted to share because all of the advice I received here from you guys and gals motivated me to take this one when I was going to pass on it. It was loaded with doberman hair, dirt and was a real mess on the interior. The dash was simply gross and the...

Suv mobile detail? I have questions

Just a thought, you may want to check local laws regarding removing the seats and still having the windows in the SUV. Some areas will require commercial plates and/or covering your windows.

How many use customers water or electric?

Never had a problem plugging in at a customer's location. I would certainly provide services if I couldn't, but it has never been an issue.

    The power of the referral

Thanks, and yes, they are definitely powerful tools. Just got another email yesterday that turned into a job Monday morning. Another referral. Can't believe how quickly word is spreading !

    Flyers

Stay away from flyers. People ( including myself ) HATE them. Personally I avoid any business that puts a flyer anywhere near my house or vehicle and I am not very likely to keep a flyer that is handed to me beyond the nearest trash can.

    The power of the referral

We've discussed ads, flyers, business cards and even referrals from time to time, but this showed up on my page over the weekend : "Just wanted to say a huge thanks for the awesome job you did on the interior of our car. The car is my husbands daily driver, and was a mess when we got it...

    Help,First Vacuuming

Clear plastic bag for the small stuff and everything that should go back is put in neatly in one spot so the rest of the trunk looks neat. Anything that a customer has in the car other than French fries under the seat was, at one time or another there for a reason and giving the customer the...
