How do I care for microfiber towels and prevent shrinkage in the wash?

No, that's not the best part about it. How old are you? We should be teaching people the right way, and not making them guess if someone is being sarcastic. At least put a "wink" at the end to let people definitively know you're joking. Don't assume. You're dealing with people from across the...

How do I care for microfiber towels and prevent shrinkage in the wash?

I'm glad I wasn't the only one who thought that. It's not like he has 10,000 posts. It's good that we're looking out though. You'd be surprised by how many people take people seriously, and do it. Maybe an emoticon after a sarcastic post would help, that's all.

    A very bad day...

Btw, I had a computer repair business before I decided to get into detailing, and I can tell you that I had some days from hell just like every other business owner. It happens. Hang tough and keep moving forward.

    Wax or sealent after compound?

Poorboys's Polish and Sealant? All it takes is one pass to look good. Then I did OCW on top, and after being rained on for 10 days in a row, it still looks good. I can't believe the power of these two. I don't even need to use quick detailer. Everything just doesn't stick to the car.

How do I care for microfiber towels and prevent shrinkage in the wash?

Cut me a break. I'm relatively new here, and still figuring people out. Btw, I can be the same. But maybe you might want to finish any responses with an emoticon (wink?) just to let people know. Believe it or not, there are young people out there that will try what you posted. (I've seen it)

Have I angered the detailing gods?

Really? A sunglass thread? Egos anyone? I'm sorry, I just don't see the point. Not even if I had a million dollars. I think the same thing about jewelry. It's all for show. Pffft.

    Meguires g110v2

After reading this thread, my Meg's DA has me worried. Granted, I havn't logged many hours with it yet, and it has run perfect so far, but it bothers me that some people are experiencing issues with it. I was thinking about getting a GG6 as a backup, and might just do it now. I like the...

How do I care for microfiber towels and prevent shrinkage in the wash?

I guess my sarcasm detector was off. But after 20,000 posts over the years, I don't put anything past anyone. I've seen it all.

Using AdWords to advertise detail business?

Sounds like a rip off. I was thinking about it, but now not so much.

How to make a $200 detail look quality with only 2-3 hours?

You have a way with words. :xyxthumbs: Even if you do quote yourself, then laugh at it.

How do I care for microfiber towels and prevent shrinkage in the wash?

For some reason, this doesn't sound like a good idea. I just put them in the dryer on low heat, and they come out fine.

    Liquid products expiry date?

Do you have a basement? It's usually pretty cool down there. But I guess a fridge would work, and you could probably keep it on the warmest setting and not use much energy. I keep mine in an air conditioned house.

    Multiple coats of wax

Focus more on making the paint surface perfect. Putting wax on a less than perfect surface will result in less than perfect results. I bet otc turtle wax would look great on a perfect show car. Better yet, why not just use a sealant?

    Detailing Non-Black Trim?

I know some people might give me grief for this, but Turtle Wax Trim Restorer is freakin awesome. It's clear and will last months. I was astonished how well it worked. Believe it or not guys, not everything TW makes is garbage.

    Drug of choice for waxaholics!

Yup. I'm starting to think as long as you use a good sealant, any otc spray wax will do. Imo, using wax is overrated to begin with. Polish the paint as smooth as possible, seal it, and wax is almost a moot point. Prep is the key.
