3.5 and yes I came up with that before I saw dugdug's post.

    Pics from my first job

Thanks vegas. Actually, my first time with the polisher was probably no more than 20-30 minutes applying some polish. Never thought my first gig would be a full blown correction on a black car of all things. I'm just glad I got it out of the way. Some people actually told me studying doesn't...

    Pics from my first job

Just keep studying, and believe in yourself. I must have spent at least 80 hours studying and watching videos before this. But talk about being thrown into the fire right off the bat. A normal quick polish with an AIO on a light colored car will seem easy now.

Ask other people what they got on their first job. I do plan on charging more as I go along. Sheesh. Experience was my main concern at this point. Plus, I made more today than I do working 30 hours at my grocery store job. In time, not worried.

    Pics from my first job

All I had at the start of the detail was my cell camera, so they might not be the best. (only the first 2 pics were with cell) The car I did was a 2006 black Infiniti. It turns out that the car was severely neglected, and in need of a paint correction. Oxidation, contaminates, major swirls, bird...

Got my first paid job tomorrow

After a 30 second search: "If you prefer, top Poorboys PWS with a carnauba wax. There’s no need to let the sealant cure before applying wax on top of it." From: Poorboys World Polish with Sealant, Poorboys PWS, paint sealant ocw has carnauba in it. But is ocw considered more of a sealant?

Got my first paid job tomorrow

So I guess I should not use ocw then. I wasn't aware pws needed cure time. Live and learn. Perhaps I can go back the day after and ocw it. I want him to have as much protection as possible.

    Using customer's electric and water

Hmmm, I hope not having a generator/power washer isn't too much of a drawback for me. My $$$ are extremely limited right now, and it may be some time before I can afford even a small flatbed trailor.

Got my first paid job tomorrow

Tomorrow morning will be my first paid job, and I am really looking forward to it. My body has finally healed enough to where I think I can do it. I'm going to be washing, claying, poorboy's polish and sealant by machine, then topping off with ocw. As well, I will be doing the interior...

Impressed with Optimum Car (spray) Wax

I live in Georgia. It's only "cold" here 1 month out of the year. Not worried about that. To be honest, I don't know what sweating and ghosting is. All I know is what looks good to me.

Impressed with Optimum Car (spray) Wax

As a follow up, I went out to my car this morning and looked at the roof. Normally after a wash and wax, the roof always attracts dust and water spots after a rainstorm. This time after using ocw, the roof was perfectly clean and shiny as all get out. They should rename ocw to Magic in a...

WOW is all I can say. 16 oz was used each time? That's a whole bottle!!!!! I just used 1 oz. Ummm, yeah, I hope if you use it again, you like drizzle it. Otherwise, stay with walmart spray waxes.
