How do mobile detailers deal with the sun?

That would be awesome. I'm actually about 18 miles north of atlanta in marietta. But it's not too far from I-75. I'll PM you my cell # and we'll talk about this. Thanks a bunch.

How do mobile detailers deal with the sun?

This is a big concern of mine since I will be a mobile detailer. How do people deal with detailing in the sun? I'm in the Atlanta area and have to deal with very hot summers and intense sunshine. My car gets so hot that you could fry a thick steak on it. A canopy is not really an option since...

    Detail ahead!

Not really any better than by hand. In fact, those cheap polishers really don't do anything. I bought one a while back, and it did nothing to make my car look better. I resorted to doing it by hand, and while I got good results, both of my arms were pretty much useless for the next 11 days and...

More like morphine injections. Good luck to you, and let us know how your physical therapy/rehab is going.

    Automotive tape vs. Painters tape

That's what I bought because it was cheap. I guess it should be ok. Thanks for the responses.

    Opti-clean is an APC?

    Automotive tape vs. Painters tape

I searched here but nothing came up. Is there a real difference? I know there is a difference in price. I found some painters tape that was like $2 something for 60yds. And it said peels off easy. Is there any real difference? I'm thinking there's not.

    a couple of OC/Detailing questions.

I plan on doing my pillars also, and have heard Poorboy's Polish/Sealant is good for this. Does anyone else have an opinion on this?

Your go to for interior doors and dash?

I'm hearing a lot of great things about Optimum. OCW is definitely on my short list as of now. I'm looking to buy in bulk, and the word "affordable" means a lot to me. But of course, still must do the job well.

    New Car Detailing Process

That's an understatement. It took me 4 days to de-swirl my Camry by hand, and while it looks good now, I'm paying for it big time. My elbows still hurt 10 days after. To the OP: do yourself a favor and get a DA machine. Never again will I put myself through that. :nomore:

Your go to for interior doors and dash?

But that's OK. It may inspire someone to try something that they might not have otherwise. I would have never thought of using poorboy's if it weren't for these "opinion" threads. These type of threads may get old for the vets, but for us noobs they serve a purpose. Thanks!

Your go to for interior doors and dash?

But are you cleaning first before applying the 303?

Meguiars D156 vs CG Hybrid V7 vs Autoglym Express Wax

I have to think a lot of it gets wiped away with the water. I'm going to use it after the car is dry for maximum benefit. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I997 using AG Online

    AutoGeek Android App

Only 3 people have downloaded this so far? Is it brand new or something? I would have thought more than 3 people would have downloaded it. Btw, it works great.

Meguiars D156 vs CG Hybrid V7 vs Autoglym Express Wax

But OCW is only $49 for 128 oz. That's only about $7 a bottle (17 oz). I plan on buying in bulk to save money. Exactly. Sounds like a great wax for my base level package.

This is the best detailing forum by far

I've already experienced some of that. Don't get me wrong, there are some great people on other websites, but overall this site seems to be the most complete as far as catering to both noob and detail guru. The amount of information here is incredible. :props: It's already begun! But I'm trying...

    Steam cleaner or Carpet Cleaner?

I can't even come close to affording an extractor, so I guess the Bissell Little Green Machine will have to do for now. I guess if you're not detailing show cars it should be good enough for basic interior clean up. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.
