    PA High Gloss with DA

I used a 6 inch pad. Yes, the product disappeared. I wiped it down because I'm compulsive but no need to. BTW, It's a black Benz that shows everthing.

    PA High Gloss with DA

I'm a fan of High Gloss and have been using as per instructions of either spritzing the panel or the applicator. I always got hazy trails of film that took effort to remove with mf. I decided to use the long throw DA with black pad and slow speed. Worked great and used very little. One small...

Why Do Folks Use Multiple DA Polisher?

My GG 6 is sufficient. I detail friends cars, and they usually help so the 2nd polisher is the ticket. I also find that a rotary is also a welcomed addition for those severely neglected vehicles.

    6 inch orbitals

I gotta say that I purchased a long throw because of my obsessive thinking and unrelenting curiosity. Really, it's in not that much better relative to the cost. I still use my GG6 and still like it. If another polisher is in your future, consider a forced rotation or a rotary. That way your...

    Questions About Claying Our Car

I use a mitt. My clay is aging on the shelf. I also use Megs car soap as a lube. Fast, easy, inexpensive. Works great.

    6 inch orbitals

IMO, the Groits will do it all. I have both and unless you are tool geek, there really is not a big advantage with a long throw in the real world for a hobbyist. I know others will disagree.

To buy a rotary or not?

Just compounded and polished my neighbors severely oxidized Toyota pickup. I tried my da with foam and wool/m100. No go. Broke out the rotary with wool. Success. Polished with my DA and m205/foam pad. Looks great.Sometimes a rotary is the ticket.

    Most regretted detailing product purchase

I've posted this before, but I feel so ripped off that I feel the need to repost. CG Sprayable Leather is the worst. Shiny, squeaky, and slick. Complete crap.

I got a used car with ok paint I would like to fix

You'll be ok with the HF. I have several polishers and the HF. It's a little louder and not quite as smooth, but has good power. Later, if you upgrade you can use it with 3 inch bp or a brush.

    Sealant comparison

I've haven't yet tried PA Master Sealant. Limited reviews, but they all claim longevity and very high gloss. Any comments on this.

I Bought My First DA Polisher, Now What? (Newbie Questions)

You're on the right track. Using the mildest abrasive polish to achieve results is the way to go.

    Looking for a polisher

Favorites and opinions are without end here. Anything sold here are excellent and you can't go wrong. Stick with a dual action. IMO long throw 15mm is a wise choice just starting out. There are also Chinese knock offs about half the cost with good reviews on Youtube and Amazon. For me, the fun...

Messuring clearcoat with single paint gauge

I wondered the same thing and reasoned that a gauge is useless unless you spend the big bucks.

    Rupes 15. Or?

Since detailing is a hobby for me, I can't see $400 for a polisher. If I used it every day, then I probably would. I went with Adams SK. It's great. Actually I don't think it's a comprimise. Also, Shinemate looks good.

Best way to address clear coat failure?

    Maaco. Really, not that bad.

    Polisher Upgrade from Porter Cable

I have the SK, and I like it a lot. I can only compare it to my old GG6 and it's an improvement over the GG6. I think that it's the way to go if you're not a full time detailer. Sounds like the Maxshine may be even better. Read the Amazon reviews.

    DA polisher

Maybe inappropriate and to add to the mix, take a look at Adams Swirl Killer. I got one and like it. Good price and holiday sale.

why doesn't Britemax AIO get any love

I got a free bottle of Britemax AIO about a year here, but haven't used it until now. Used on my grandson's BMW. It's mildly abrasive but cleaned and polished with little to no effort to wipe down. Great gloss and shine. Decided to use on my Benz. Topped with PA High Gloss. Very good product IMO.

    Cheapo microfiber towels?

Once again, Costco towels are inexpensive and really pretty good.
