Not laughing at you in particular or anything, but the image in my mind of an old timer wrestling with a PC and chunks of compound flying everywhere made me chuckle a bit. Dont worry, we've all been there. Nobody figures out perfect technique the first time.
Strong lights can reveal something remaining on the paint. Thats why I use IPA, 50% because I've seen residue with other 'prep' products. Its possible that residue might not interfere with the coating, actually it could be a catalyst I suppose, but Id rather be safe than sorry.
Yeah its going to be tough getting customers with that attitude. I was going to suggest it might be better to start things up part time before dropping all that cash and jumping in the deep end. Basically just try to get a bit of spending cash doing a car every weekend for a couple years until...
Yeah you have to be careful, there are a lot of internet reviews that are either posted by 'friends' of the company, or people that get free products in exchange for good reviews.
Before I try something new, I always check out Amazon reviews. Sure their might be a few fake ones, but if the...
Looks great. Actually it didnt look too bad to start, usually the Porshe threads the paint is completely trashed for some reason, this guy took care of it better than most.
Hopefully Vettel can at least challenge Rosberg for his position, but I cant imagine a situation where Hamilton does not win the title again. Best ( or at least tied for best ) driver with the best car is going to win the title every year.
I would probably switch to real clay and a good lubricating detailer like Fk425, I think those nanoskin things require some ramp up time to avoid marring.
But yeah, its pretty minor damage so it should come out with a good polish and a polishing pad, shouldent need to compound.
Its probably pretty safe, but I doubt anyone here knows what the leather is and how it is treated just by the option you ordered. In general GM coats their seats with clear vinyl for longevity, which would make virtually any product safe - but dont take my word for it.
I have those felt wheel liners on my MDX and hate them. I realize they insulate the sound pretty well, but why not put the felt on the inside of a plastic well so they are easy to clean? I mean how much can a couple feet of felt with adhesive backing cost in volume, 5$?
There are various products that when applied to rust, turn the surface a matte black. I've used it on undercarriage bits on previous cars, works good. Stops the rust also. Its probably all the same stuff so just buy whatever is cheapest.
Yeah Salt-X is an anti-salt solution, and they make an APC called salt buster that is automotive safe. I use it on the paintwork and wheels as well and with the powerwasher it takes the road salt right off, good stuff.
I cant really say for sure how good the Karcher wax works, but I have yet...
