That sucks! I'm thinking improper wash/dry techniques by the wife. Dirt from mowing the yard may have landed on the paint before she went to dry it with MF towels. That can be disastrous.

My buddy DD's this '97 Civic. It sits outside 24/7 at college. I noticed this oxidation-looking stuff the other night, and offered to put some paint sealant on before it gets any worse. I'm not an expert on paint, but I was wondering if this is clear coat coming off or oxidation? I don't know if...

Nice! I also use Wolfgang sealant. The first time I used it, I wasn't impressed.. turns out I didn't let it fully cure. The second time, I let it cure overnight like you did. WOW. I can't explain how epic the finish is.. definitely the best wax/sealant I have ever used by far. (haven't tried...

I would try lightly wet-sanding them and then polishing. If that isn't bringing them to a gloss, sand it all off and try again. Use a good couple of coats of clear.. then lightly wet-sand the clear and buff it to a shine.

Perfect! That interior looks so much better after a cleaning. Those dirty blue seats made the interior look old and nasty. Overall though, looks like the owner did a pretty good job taking care of his ~10 yr. old car. With your touch, the thing looks brand spanking new. Nice!
